Default Jalopnik Head-to-Head: Camaro SS vs Challenger R/T vs Mustang GT

These comparo's are going to start rolling out. Exactly the results I expected. The SRT-8 is so overpriced, the R/T is not the competition for the SS and GT.

I figured the only category it would win/tie in was looks. The rest was harsh.

Jalopnik - Muscle Car Wars: Camaro vs. Challenger vs. Mustang - Muscle Car Wars

It was the most expensive of the bunch, despite having damn near 100% the same materials from the original LX cars years ago.

.. why does that always become the comparison. The little R/T versus the SS and GT.. If you're going to compare something.. compare it on equal ground; top version versus top version, not the "top version, versus middle, versus base" crap.

umm price lol. Most people who car shop go by price and type of car they want. For the price of an srt8 you can get the gt500 or a corvette which will both wipe the floor with the srt8.

Thanks to the economy and GM's state of affairs the Z28 was cancelled or else you could have your top of the line srt8, gt500, and z28 matchup

See below. Chrysler continues to price they mid level car MORE (it was the most expensive car in the comparison) than the highest level of the other two....this is going to happen. The "little R/T" has tons of HP and Torque. It just doesn't move anywhere because that car is north of 4,000lbs. Embarrassing.

They did the SRT-8 vs the GT500 last year I believe. It was brutal.

i must be blind. i dont see any v-6 base models. IF there was a z28 then this would be the "middle version" comparison.

and like said. it comes down to price. a mustang gt and camaro ss is never gonna be as much as an srt-8

i personally think the srt-8 is the ugliest too

actually if you wanna go with the top of line models, then it would be SS with the LS7 vs GT500 vs SRT-10 Challenger. and yes, i know that both the SRT-10 Chally and SS LS7 are prototypes, but i'm just saying.
