Default I totalled my moms car today... :(

So today I was on Fabyan Parkway just past the Kane County Police Station/Jail driving Allyssa to work like I do every morning.

So i'm cruising along going 45 (speed limit) and it was 9:52am and it was wet outside. Well, I see up ahead a white conversion van turning left onto some side road but was stopped blocking the left straight lane (no turn lane for this side road) ...so as I approach him I slow down like normal...well THE VAN starts to go and as i'm about 30 feet from him he SLAMS on his brakes and STOPS AGAIN!!! Well by then i'm going 35mph and 10-15 feet from this guys ass and he had more than enough room to go...well...being that it was wet out I applied the brakes harder, cranked the wheel to the right..........the car understeered and DID NOT MISS THE VAN...............these should tell the rest of the story........

Someone also hit me in the rear but they DID NOT STOP...which sucks...

The airbags deployed, I smashed my head on the steering wheel, and the seat belt locked rather harshly (like its supposed too...) ...

Well, the police got there and called an ambulence...Allyssa and I were taken away to Delanor Hospital off of Randall.

I have a bruise and cut on my forehead and thats it... Allyssa however has a bruised sternum, sore chest, and her right arm is hurting pretty badly...

I didn't get a police report # or anything because they don't give those out anymore...they mail them to you in the mail...

The only thing i'm worried about (other than the saftey of my love-allyssa and myself and everyone else) is I hope my license doesn't get taken away...

P.S. -The car is TOTALLED!!! I dont care what anyone says...ITS GONE...

BTW, I paid my mom the $500 deductable already and i'm obviously taking full responsibility for this. I have another car lined up for her and i'm going to be buying it for her pretty soon...

and btw... I would like to give you credit for posting this... after the thread about your mom and your bumper it took alot of balls to come back and openly admit you fucked up worse than she did. I hate to admit it but I see only a 50/50 chance that I would have done the same.

your dues on the "bumper bitch slapping" = paid in full

good luck on the bumps and bruses and finding your mom a new/good car (stick with toyota! and you will almost never have to fix it for her )

look closely.. there is a TB on the end of it... (intake)

Toyota puts some really good R&D into what tehy make... they go a little further to give you a little bit more out of an eng. that anyone else would have left "good enough for a comuter car". It's no econo based rocket like an SRT or others.. but it's not ment to be. I love Toyotas for the fuel efficiant eng's and light weight. I miss my wifes 93 corolla. It handled better than my Shelby CSX.

So was it your fault that you hit the van or was it the other driver? I'm glad to hear that you two are ok.
