Default I lost to a prelude

So im driving around town about to goto walmart and i see this prelude pull up next to me. My gf was in the car with me and she sees the guy in the lude look over. She says "shawn, no, please dont race." I just smile at her and wait for the light to change. Green! i start off going nice and easy because i know im about to smoke this biatch. Then i finally get on the gas and immediatly jump infront of the prelude.. I engage the clutch and pull back to get into second and BAM! my shiftnob flies off. I saw the gay little honduh whiz by me as i was holding the silver ball in my hand. i lost... to a prelude.

No big deal. Now the prelude guy is going to spend more $$ on mods

He's probably already on his Honda forum right now bragging about it and people are throwing the B.S. flag up

I lost REALLY hard to a civic hatch.. he was stock looking running an H22 turbo setup, he said that it was an 11 second car, and I REALLY believe it.

Yeap a hatch with a H22 and turbo is a really nice combination. There are a lot of really fast hatches down here in Miami. There are however even more slow ones.

For every fast honda there are thousands of slow ones. So the chances of catching a fast one is slim, but you really have to keep an eye out for the fast ones.

I hate when shit like that happens..... ESPECIALLY becasue i dont let shit go that well so i would have been stewing over that for a while. A few weeks ago i lot to a modded Mach 1 from a launch due to some wheel hop and slamming the rev limiter (first time driving in 7 months).. i was pissed off for a while becasue i pictured him telling all his friends he "Smoked" a Stage 2 srt-4....... It kind of bothered me.
Best thing to do is Hunt preludes...

TuRbO HaTch... i was in traffic a few days ago and this surprisingly clean looking hatch was kind of just checking my car out and staying right at my left rear wheel even though he had plenty of room ahead of him. It turns out he just wanted a little room to give me a little show i guess cause he floors it and i hear his turbo and his blow off valve. His back license plate frame says "you've been smoked my team 1320"...........
I have a feeling the car was pretty quick and if we had been on a open highway, he would have given me a run for my money.......

Yea I was heading back up to NC from Fl and I saw a civic on 95 that was lowered and had exhaust... thought nothing of it... but once i pulled up next to him he took off... all i heard was the loudest god damn turbo spool up in my life.... he didn't beat me but by about 1 1/2 cars... but still enough... i was impressed...

Default Preludes crack me up

Dont even get me started on a Prelude.... but ya know im gonna say it anyway... haha!So my friend and I were headed back from the streetraces and we were doing the speedlimit on the trip home. I have 1 other person in my car and my friend has 2 other ppl in his 05' RSX-S. we pull up along side of a prelude and hear his exhaust rumbling so we decide to make him look stupid in front of his girl in the car...3 car line up at 2:30am (on the freeway) 3 beeps, and were off from a 60 roll start. my boost is spiked up to 20 psi so obviously i pull away from them both... but thier still going at it so i let off the gas because there are a few other cars up ahead,(i stop at about 125 or so...)then they both go blazing by me and probably hit about 140 at 1 point (nothing AMAZING but still not 2 bad for an import... haha j/k) anyway the prelude swings over a lane to avoid a slow moving truck, when BAMMMM he nails a truck with a big chrome bumper on it... the ludes engine and front fenders completly torqued out of the car and the engine mount was twisted off the car so it was slammed to the ground and kinda 1/2 out of the car. we exited the freeway and re-entered it going to other direction... we see him sitting outside of his car smoking... After all of this i ALWAYS laugh at preludes for being such dumbasses (no offense to any owners, just something i probably wont forget)

Sorry fo such a long post

ps- it made the local news

I did the same thing four times in the last three months. What an irritation holding the knob and trying to shift. My last encountered was a SRT-4 at my work section. Shifted in second and it was in my hand....LOL

Then we have the misshifts from second to third but in fifth....
