Default ASSHAT with a SR20

Ok,
So I was just at some car meet(not my bag but a buddy drug me down there).Theres some guy down there with some oldass SR20DET,my buddy try's to get me to race him. I don't street race so I say no.This guy starts shott'n off with how he beats our cars all the time and hes never lost to one(he also claims he walks KB Cobras ).Now i'm not one for talking shit,I think its babyish. But I do ask him what hes got done to it.He says it completly stock. So I give him the benefit of the doubt, and ask if the SRT's were stock,He says no,hes beat'n them from stock all the way to a 60 trim. So yeah, I know this guys full of shit, but whatever, I just let it go. But im curious to know what a SR20 runs stock. He says he runs 8.4 on street tires(I'd still kill him if thats what he ran). So if anyone knows there stock times could you chime in and let me knoe,im just curious to see how much bull this guy was sling'n

hes in the tampa area? ill run him

rofl just punch him in the face haha j/k
sr20 swap into a 240sx with stock boost will run like low 14's.. how do i know?
i helped a best friend do the swap into a 1991 240sx shell and he drives very good 100's of runs on the track and ran a bunch of 14.2's in the quarter mile on street tires and mid 13's on slicks...with higher boost was into the high 12's...i raced him with higher boost and im at 250hp and it was pretty even but i barely pulled on him.. this guy is full of shit.. is this 8.4 in the 8th? or in the 1/4 mile?

Yeah like I said this guy is an asshat. He says he's always down at some meet in tampa on wednesdays.I'd love to hear one of our guys hand'd him his ass.I told him to come down to the track on wed. but he says his cars not setup to drag.....Yeah,I know what your thinking,"not set up to drag?"and yet he claims to be woop'n up on all these cars.He also says he goes to gandy every week and has only lost to a KB cobra that was spray'n . Its a black older nissan, I dont know body years but it looks like 91-94.Yeah that time was in the 1/8th,if he said the 1/4 I would have just started luaghing at him and walked away.

You're an idiot for even asking if he's bullshitting. Sounds like he plays Gran Turismo/Forza all day.

Yea I would say most of the people that run the SR20 swaps in the 240s run in the low to mid 14s stock... Part of this has to do with the fact that 90% of the people will put on at least and intake and exhuast when they do the swap as well.

SR20s are nothing to sleep on tho, as there are TONS and TONS of mods available for those motors especially as more of the JDM parts come here. Still tho, if you even a few mods on your SRT, the odds are in your favor, especially on a roll.

I will tell you this tho.. swapped 240s are no joke. I REALLY REALLY miss my old big turbo RB20DET S14... it was a BLAST to drive/drift and still had some balls to back it up (12.5 at 111 with slicks). In my case I'm simply gonna keep my SRT pretty close to the way it is and pay it off so I can finally start on my fun car a S13 (maybe S14) with a nicely setup RB26DETT
