nice. we have been to 4 car meets together since he took delivery. he has been THE CAR TO SEE at every one. he told me that he feels like it was a bargain at 10k over.
value is all about what we want and get out of something. he wanted the car, he paid for it. it is worth MORE to him than what he paid. money is just money.
I'm not arguing with you man. I totally see the other side. I'll gladly pay a few grand more to get the house I want, etc.
I am just one of those people that do not have $10k to toss out the window for the privlege of being first on a car. I'm sure he's the king of the town right now with his SRT-Penis, but once the V6s and R/Ts come out, his $10k 15-minutes of fame will be buh-byes.
So, Dodge... where's the SRT6 already? Or is your Ram / Durango / Dakota lineup doing better sales-wise than GMs? I hear GM's considering sending another brand to the wolves, in addition to the shutdown of the plants...
Expensive fuel is here to stay. The automakers who can adapt the fastest with economic products to meet the needs will survive. Here's to hoping that Chryslerebis can adapt.
On a side-note, I can see the Caliber doing better than before; ugly as it may be, it's still a lot of vehicle for the buck, and that is where the money is to be made these days.

the Dodge Hornet will be an upscale small car designed to compete with the likes of MINI’s Cooper
No. No no no no. Wrong. Make an upscale version with boost and an SRT badge, but DO NOT rely on people buying an upscale compact car from a domestic brand. Same reason the Euro Focus isn't sold here, because it's price point would be considered too high compared to the conventional competition.
Seriously, Cerebus, you've been doing OK just getting by; don't screw it up now letting Home Depot man think he can sell a jewel-encrusted hammer.
Chrysler does not have a small sedan. The execs admitted they wished they had one about 6 months ago. I am sure Nissan and or Chery are getting emails everyday saying please hurry. Sad.

I love that thing. Now if it was turbo, AWD, and got like 35mpg that thing would be my next commuter.
