If you squint, you can see Buster McGee, the magical Dodge midget, running in those photos, getting ready to apply the decals at the factory!
Go Buster!

Chrysler’s vice president has already confirmed that the company is working on a production version of the 2006 Geneva Motor Show Dodge Hornet concept. No other details were given out at the time but industry sources now say that the production version of the Hornet concept will be built by Nissan for Chrysler under their new cooperation terms.
According to sources at AutoWeek, the Dodge Hornet will be an upscale small car designed to compete with the likes of MINI’s Cooper. Chrysler is also working on another small car that it will build with Chery Automobile Co. for budget buyers.
Earlier in April, the Nissan and Chrysler announced that they will cooperate on building a pickup and a subcompact car for each other. Chrysler will build the next-generation Nissan Titan at its Saltillo, Mexico plant. Nissan will begin production of a subcompact car based on the Versa at its Oppama, Japan, factory.
We’re just hoping that they’ll drop the “Hornet” name for the production versions since it doesn’t sound very ‘upscale’ to us.

I am glad to see they will be keeping this upscale. I am a fan of small cars (mid-size sedan is as large as I would like) and I was hoping their first new subcompact would be a nice one. I would not like to drive around in an Aveo. I would love to have a Mini though, but a Dodge Hornet sounds even better
Now if only SRT would hint that they will be putting their touches on the Hornet. That would be sweet as hell.

nice. we have been to 4 car meets together since he took delivery. he has been THE CAR TO SEE at every one. he told me that he feels like it was a bargain at 10k over.
value is all about what we want and get out of something. he wanted the car, he paid for it. it is worth MORE to him than what he paid. money is just money.

Good news, I hope SRT can get there hands on the Hornet or whatever they decide to call it, they may already have something from Nissan now. Its funny how long some programs have been in the works. Dr. Who mentioned that the first NSRT-4 testing began in 1999. You never know.
