Lot of good E85 has done for the world. Anyone notice how expensive food is these days?

Everything gets effected by gas prices.

ya its stupid, not only is the higher gas pricces jacking up the cost of everything, with all the farmers going towards the E85, food is going to be just stupidly priced not too far down the road...E85 FTL

so what E85 mkaes the cost of gas go down a few cents/litre or gallon, and the cost of food doubles or triples? where is the win in that?

I dont know much of how many farms there are that produce just crops for E85. But as i said earlier, just the cost of oil will raise the price on just about anything. Everything made has to be transported. And everything farmed uses fuel powered machines to plant/pick/move it. Rise in the price of oil means increase cost to grow crops.

And yet, a quart / gallon of motor oil is the same price as it was a year ago.

yeah, wha ti meant was that for every farmer that sells his crops for E85 production, or changes to crops for E85 production that is 1 more farm that isnt producing food, so there is less supply, therefore the prices will go up, plus the increase in gas prices...

Did everyone but me miss this? (or am I just late to the party?)

Dodge - 2009 Challenger - Performance - Transmission

Features of the 6 speed are:
-Hill Start Assist
-Anti Spin rear axle
-bright pedal covers (look like SRT-4 pedals)
-performance steering
-ESP FULL OFF SWITCH

Well I knew about the 6-speed for the R/T, but I hadn't seen the confirmation for the SRT-8 yet.

Allpar had a little table with the different drivtrain options and the "Track Pack" was confirmed before the R/T information was listed on their site. I am glad too because I wouldn't be buying a Challenger unless it was offerred in a manual transmission w/ limited slip.

Side note, I'm building a 13 to 1 505 stroker 440 for my 50 Chrysler to run on E-85, OMG I'm going GREEN! Not really, but it is cheaper, and by building my motor specifically for E-85, I wont be losing as much fuel economy. Anyway with 13 to compression, I can run a BIG cam, and get the nice pro stock idle sounds

How much does E85 go for a gallon near you?
