At this point it is no different me posting information than if we had not. Everyone can assume all day long but in the end DCR has performed the only twin turbos on a running SRT-4s. We have all of our data and its proven itself already. If it makes horsepower we can get it down the track quickly !
-As far boost response its comparable to a 50trim and 35r!
-As far as horsepower per lb of boost...twin stockers= >50trim or 35r depending on setup...twin e-1s exceeding 66-68mm turbos and we have yet maxed one out but soon!
-As far as tuning...simple!
-As far as intercooler eff....not a problem and air temps are lower than 50trims and 35r!
-No spark knock or retard!
-EGTs are lower!
-Back pressure nearly half!
-Turbine speeds lower than stock single while doubling cfm!
You need to know that we were only trying to improve the stock manifold design. The twins actually started for DCR back in 2002. Being that we were fully factory backed we had an awsome relationship with everyone at Chrysler. This was before the SRT-4 was even released and we were doing preproduction engineering in tandem with Chrysler, Mopar Performance and PVO at the time for the upcoming SRT-4. We had 6 complete with turbos preproduction SRT-4 engines in 2002 before its release. This was before anyone had the first SRT-4 and before anyone had an aftermarket turbo for the SRT-4 and before the Mopar Stage 3 was even a thought. We were testing and test driving the preproduction SRT-4s back in DEC 2001 at PVO in Michigan for (PVOs) Pete Gladyz , (Dodge Motorsports) John Fernandez, and (Mopar Performance) Kevin Miller. We tested the very first Mopar Stage 3s with (PVO/SRT) Eathan Bayer during some of there tuning calibration testing at Commerce Ga Dragstrip (Altlanta). All of factory testing continued thru out 2006. We helped attack many engineering issues for much of the factory SRT-4 engine program from our motorsports program. After getting our hands on a SRT-4 vehicle in 2003 we started on the twins but due to our full Chrysler sponsorship and full NHRA and NOPI race schedule there was very little time to complete anything outside of racing. DCR recieived the very first released Mopar Stage 3s for our very own personal cars.
When back pressure and high egts were present on cylinders #1 and #2 from the cross flow design of the stock single manifold design we decided to try merging in a second turbine to even things out. Letting cylinder 1&2 feed turbo one and cylinder 3&4 feed turbo 2 while evening out cylinder back pressures and egts per cylinder. Since we new the stock turbo was like a light switch...on or off we decided to take advantage of the extra exhaust volume and add a second turbo to up the performance. We never intended for the twins to compete against anything. We only wanted to improve things at hand and we did. Instead of assuming we did it and it performed. We can look it up, calculate, and type about it to we are all red in the face but the the biggest single thing that leaves others out is the lack of actually doing something instead of talking about it.
We have had hands on long before the beginning of the SRT-4! We applied knowledge from DCR , engineers, and turbo companies to something that started as a solution for exsisting problems. Sure we could make an awsome tubular twin manifold...but it is not needad at all. Sure it has took time but do you think we would go thru all that trouble for nothing after all this time. We were like the rest 'sceptical" but it was not until recently that we installed and tested the DCR Twins and realized WOW ! All i can say is when you actually complete an idea, its only then you can honestly know if it works or not. In this case it works !
Later

The end for these models is sooner than I thought, a lot sooner! I had assumed that they would make it through most of the 2008 model year...
Magnum - TBA soon
The freshened SRT8 looked so good.... does that mean all we will have is pictures? Did any '08 Magnum SRT8s get build / will be built?

guy at my work ordered his just las week, black with the Kicker system and option group 2, non polished wheels. should be sweet when it comes in.
The dealership I work at ordered one about a month ago when it first came up as available on the computer.
As of a few days ago there still wasn't a build date assigned for it yet...so hard telling when we will see it. Also have a B-5 Blue Super Bee Charger on order too...also without a build date.

AGP DBB 50 trim + all the good stuff. Basic street tune, needs some dyno time now.
Best Time: 7.92 @ 88 MPH (stock turbo and slicks)
Best Time with 50 Trim:
8.54 @ 91 MPH (2.2 60') (19 PSI) (Street Tires)
Plenty of room for improvement!
the Srt-4 did come up on TOPs about a month ago but it was never correct. it only would give one audio option, 4 speakers. lol. they finally got all that stuff fixed.
ill never understand the way chrysler does things ass backwards all the time.....
the magnum looks 100 times better like that then it the 1st gen now there gunna axe it lol
