This thread is long enough as it is, and people come here for information regarding future products. That being said, I ask the following.

Can the people carrying on conversations about used Jeeps (and seemingly having done so for 2 or 3 pages) please stop, and either take it into PM or start another thread? Seriously, we could care less about your back and forth regarding old Jeeps in this particular thread.

Can a moderator please delete all the worthless and useless posts in the last 10 pages or so to try and keep some sort of organization to what used to be the most enjoyable thread on the forums?

The conversation started out with the JK and what engines may be coming for it in the future.

Seeing as this thread is about future ChryCo products, I don't see how it's out of place at all. So the guys that started out about Wrangler JKs went into a bit about other Jeeps, but every thread wanders.

Regardless, the conversation went back to JKs a couple of times, just because you don't like Jeeps doesn't mean we can't talk about 'em. Get bent.

Here's some on-topic scoop: oh2o is reporting that the Tremec manual trans will be available on the Challenger R/Ts as well as the SRTs.

Will other SRT models get it?

Maybe the Jeep?

I don't know. My guess would be that the LX cars get it in the next generation, in a couple of years, but that's just a guess. No clue re the GC.

It would be nice if it spread to the other SRT models, I hope they understand that. I think the Challenger is a beautiful, well-designed car that should bring some serious competition to the Mustang (finally) and hopefully the on-the-way Camaro, too.

Really though, like the Mustang, it's just not my cup of tea. I happen to like the Charger much more, and would be all the more likely to pick one up if it got a manual.

I'd seriously consider buying a 300 SRT-8 if it came with a manual.

I wouldn't! That's a HORRIBLE idea IMO. but then again, I've had quite some time behind the wheel of an SRT8, and the Auto - IMHO - is perfect for the car.
