Just rec'd recent internal memo, states '08 Viper 6-spd Tremec approved for Challenger production...
god.. now I need to really start squirreling away some down payment
unless the Demon SRT comes out..
well its simple ; either you want to spend less than 25 thousand on a car, or more than 25 thousand. If you want a back seat or just a 2 seater. If you want nimble canyon carver or bad ass cruise night hauler.
On one hand, you have probably what is my favorite car being reborn. Faster, stronger.. etc.
On the other, you have the perfect balance of power and speed, wrapped into a nice tight looking package that is targeted at the driver.
The Challenger is all about being different. Having the baddest car on the block, and Big loping cams with throaty exhuasts.
The Demon is about taking names and destroying egos. An SRT4 powered Demon @ about 2700lbs would be nigh unstoppable and could be capable of well over 400RWHP for 'bargain' prices thrusting it into near-supercar speed levels!! ....
Choices just in the Mopar family are hard enough, and I'm also considering other purchases... the next car purchase for me will NOT be simple. At all.

yay or nay?
Sorry, I guess someone and including you beat me to it. The Viper tranny was the only option that can save Chrysler money in not employing a new 6T tranny.
