Think about it for a minute, what is coming with the 4.0 soon? The Liberty. A SC 4.0 in a lowered Libby would be a nice little brother for the GC SRT-8 IMO.
WAY more logical. A SC 4.0 Would still be nice on a Rubicon JK
Yea it is, and the 4.0 SC makes less power than a 6.1 Hemi.. so the SRT-6 will be weak and sound like it too. But the SRT-8 GC weighs almost the same but has a real performance engine. Id much rather have even a 5.7 Hemi than a 4.0 SC.
If they SRT a Wrangler, someone at Chrysler should be shot.
A SC'ed-6 would make more sense in a Rubicon. Who the fuck would want a SFA/SRA high performance vehicle, that's an oxymoron. It's also a shitty, brand-diluting move. A high-performance engine in a Wrangler should be spinning mud terrains through a low-range TC.
What makes you say that? Plenty of people SC the I6 found in many Jeeps - I almost did. Far easier than swapping in a V8 and it gives a more progressive torque curve than a turbo. A supercharger works damn well off road.

The I6 Was different, they are not making a SC I6, They are making a new V6 that isnt special in the least.
And a 6.1 Hemi would be much better... Not to mention the Jeep can sound good instead of like a sick UPS truck...
It looks like the bumper might be a little different, as far as the large lower opening goes, anyways. It kinda looks like the SRT-8 off the Charger with the layout of it. Perhaps a little more square up front?
I noticed that the b-pillar is padded as well; I was hoping that wouldnt be the case; as it becomes a huge blind spot. The interior looks TAN/KHAKI in that side-shot too; with a much flatter gauge-panel than the concept.

Wow, they stopped making the I6?!! No fucking shit, pal, thanks for the newsflash. Slap a SC on that 3.8L V6 and see how special it isn't. The I6 wasn't at all a "special" engine. It was a loud and rough glorified tractor engine that made lots of torque down low. It's only major claim to fame is that it is highly likely to outlast any vehicle it's in. For all intents and purposes, the 3.8L is a "better" engine. It makes more torque a little later in the band that lasts longer, it's a better highway engine and it's well proven since it's served in the caravans.
Exactly what is your point? Do you just like poking your keyboard?
A 6.1L is as likely to land in a JK as the gas-turbine that powers an M1 Abrams tank.
Last I saw, Avenger Superchargers was working on a kit for the 3.8L. Their 4.0L kit added over 100HP at around 5 PSI.
...Still waiting to find the full list of 2008 Magnum options/packages (especially for the 2008 R/T with an R/T package). AFAIK the 2008 will have HIDs, but I wonder if I can configure it the same way as the 2007s (example: factory roof rack, but without sunroof, etc.).
The sunroof, roof rack and HID's are not part of any packages from what I could tell. One of the main packages on the RWD R/T will be the "Popular Equipment Group":
AM/FM stereo radio with 6-disc CD/DVD player & MP3 capability
EVIC
Front and rear map packets
HomeLink
Illuminated front cup holders
Instrument cluster with display screen
Remote start system
Security alarm
Steering wheel mounted audio controls
Temperature and compass gauge
Coming is the Rain Sensor wipers, Sandstone color [strange color to use] and new CLEAR WATER BLUE, Satellite Video, HIDs [code LMP] and so forth.
