I was just reading that the new SRT's with the 6.1 will get the MDS feature.
One of the Allparian insiders broke that info yesterday, pretty neat that they got past whatever hurdles were required to bring MDS to the 6.1 engine. There is also going to be another 6.1 variant for the Challenger, but no other details are available yet.
Thats because they're probably waiting for the next big N.A auto show to come around, so they can show the production Challenger before they do release all that info [like the engine/transmission/interior options lists.. and the long anticipated PRICE RANGE it will sit in.]

With the latest 6.4 [SRT8]? 6.1/5.7 expect to pay the same but getting one will require some down deposit and hope that your dealership is on the list.
What I was told and probally be corrected that there is first production run of 30K units. SRT8 are slated for 3000 copies.
The MSRP will be reflected cheaper than the Charger R/T but getting one is another dream. Baby boomer's are anticipating this car with a 10-15K premium with some expected down to hold that spot further the allocation to the vast dealership network. Hopefully I am wrong....
You have to remener there will be 30-50k of these things a year. ADMs will be short lived. There are only 9k 07 Shelbys and they are starting to more towards MSRP at the end of one year
Yea it is, and the 4.0 SC makes less power than a 6.1 Hemi.. so the SRT-6 will be weak and sound like it too. But the SRT-8 GC weighs almost the same but has a real performance engine. Id much rather have even a 5.7 Hemi than a 4.0 SC.

If they SRT a Wrangler, someone at Chrysler should be shot.
A SC'ed-6 would make more sense in a Rubicon. Who the fuck would want a SFA/SRA high performance vehicle, that's an oxymoron. It's also a shitty, brand-diluting move. A high-performance engine in a Wrangler should be spinning mud terrains through a low-range TC.
Think about it for a minute, what is coming with the 4.0 soon? The Liberty. A SC 4.0 in a lowered Libby would be a nice little brother for the GC SRT-8 IMO.
