my book says mobile 1 10w-30 for my o4. Thats all i used in my ss/t ram and thats th eonly oil i will use. someone mentioned that tru synthetic stuff...its true. I htink castrol claims to be synthetic but its not a real synthetic. i think mobile 1, amsiol, and royal purple and maybe a few otheres are the only true synths out there. The rest are all fakes. well this is what i read at least..there is alot of iol info on dodgetrucks.org if anyone wants to check it out. its a hug topic.. as bad as bov topics on here.lol

turns to ash??
well i agree...don't use synthetic for your first oil change.
but i don't buy using regular oil in a turbo charged car.
you can read the back of mobil 1 supersyn and see its great for turbocharged vehicles etc.

u should NOT use syn oil in your first change. i would change it after the first 500 miles then change it to full syn at 1k mile. make sure you do a complete drain when changing to full syn.

6qrts of mobil1 is $26 here.. so $50? we dont even need 5 for our engines

I got it changed to Syn at an express lube and it was $55 for the service that is normally $23. Got screwed and started changing it myself.

You change your oil in vegas heat. Asphalt under the car is fking hot. Gonna get up early in morning to change mine if my magnetic oil drain bolt ever comes in...

I didn't change mine the first time (as stated before) because i heard the war stories of factory oil filters being on so damn tight. Trust me, $50 they took me for won't happen again.
