Default Camry V6 auto FASTER than Mazdaspeed3????

I was browsing car and driver and came across this article. Fastest cars for under $25k and it lists the Automatic Plain Jane V6 Camry Family sedan as 2nd place, only losing slightly to the WRX in ET but smokes it in Trap Speed.

2007 Toyota Camry V-6 - Features - Car and Driver February 2007

It was faster and beat out the Mazdaspeed3. WTF, is the Camry that fast? Also why would a family need such a fast ass 4 door family car. Car and Driver also claim it to be as fast as a 350Z.

Automatic Camry V6, 0-60 5.8 1/4 14.3@99mph

pics for view.

My dad bought a 08 camry. And that thing moves pretty good for a car that size. Even with 4 people in it, it'll put you in the back of the seat.

What numbers did they give for the MS3? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the MS3 going 0-60 in 5 and a half and kicking the quarter at 13.9 now?

Look for Chevy to get the top spot with the turbo version of the Cobalt, that is, if somehow they keep it under 25K, let's hope they can. I wonder where they'd put the CSRT4 in that list?

No they're not.

Oh wait, that's only the hatch and not the sedan...
