The reason I said car 2 looks at fault is the fact it looks like the car making contact. The general rule is, whichever car collides with the other is at fault. Other factors can affect this, but such factors may be tough to prove without witnesses. At the scene of an accident, if you aren't at fault, it helps to quickly as people who witnessed the accident to stay for the police report.

Apparently AAA's rates in your state suck. They're one of the cheapest companies here in CA. You gotta realize, you're getting Towing, Registration service (here anyway) and the AAA discounts at motels. Other than that, AAA is no different from any other company.

If you can get towing coverage with another company, and can do without the other perks, open up your yellow pages and call the guys with the biggest ads. It seems silly, but the bigger the ad, the better the rates usually.

How do those guys in the Gumball Rallies and Players runs who get speeding tickets for 100mph+ have insurance companies that carry them? I know if I get a ticket for over 100 im screwed!

Hmm, I have a question about what happened to my car (was a 95 Lexus SC300)

My sister totaled it. She is only 15, had a permit but no one of age was in the car at the time (so she obviously isnt on the insurance, but the car was of course). We only got $2400 for it ($1000 + $1400 for having low milage). Wouldnt insurance give us what the car is worth? Did they no because she wasnt an insured on our plan, or illegally driving?

just make her pay for it! if she wrecked it, its her fault. Tell her to give you her milkmoney until she is 40 to payoff the debt.

here in CA and I'm sure in most all other states, you are allowed to "self insure." By that, I mean you must take out a bond to satisfy your state's "Financial Responsibility" laws. You give the state of California a 30K bond and you're set. No insurance companies for you. The problem is, the bond covers you for damage you do to others. Any damage to you and your property is your responsibility.

Other than that, lawyers can work wonders in court, and when money isn't an issue, it's not as hard as you'd think

because you don't have all the facts about the claim, it's hard to tell. If the insurance company were to find out everything about said situation, it'd be normal to get no money at all because someone who could be rated was not rated on the policy.

There is however, alot of grey area in insurance. So who the hell knows what was said in the conversation between your parent(s) and the agent.
