Default 2014 Charger SRT8

Are we getting the 8 speed and a supercharger? Why is there nothing out there on this topic? Does Giles know Chevy is coming out with the SS? I'm sure the blown LSA is going to make it in to that sedan...

Probably going to be to much raw power in an srt8 to put on the street if it happen that would be some massive take off power

I dont think they're worried about the chevy. The one thing about GM is they always overprice somethi.g they think will sell well. Its just going to be anotber G6 in chevy clothing.

That said, there is rumour of a 6.2l sc Hemi coming.. (shrug)

There's rumor of a 6.2 supercharged Hemi destined for the SRT8's. I want to say the 8 speed is on it's way also, but don't recall off-hand.

I'd still like to see a manual in the Charger SRT

There will be a project Challenger at SEMA with a "new SRT motor" in it. Might be the 6.2L SC. 8-speed; rumor on the LX boards is 2015 maybe. The 5-speed is old tech, yes. But solid, reliable tech, and at the SRT8s price point, something I can live with.

DiabloSports is also dangling carrots; pics of a "2013 SRT8 Yellow Jacket receiving a tune", etc. So, something is coming for T1000 (Trinity) owners, and some of the bits that have slipped is that is indeed tuneable.

2013s get launch control, few tweaks (white, red and black for Super Bees).

I read something earlier about an aftermarket Mopar supercharger kit being offered. Moparlooza reported it out of Sema. Also there will be tuner options for 11 plus. Both diablo and Mopar.

The srt8 will lose to a ctsv in every performance category even it it supercharged for one reason...the 5sp trans! You can make the argument that it old but reliable but the key word being old..it simply doesnt hold a torch to todays super sedans.


That being said a challenger with a manual 6sp and supercharger is a completely different story

The reveal at SEMA was a 426 crate engine; no S/C 6.2 formally announced yet.

Trinity tunes are out from Diablo for the 392 SRT8s. Modify stock tune, performance 91 and 93 tunes.

1. Eight Speed
2. Wider Rims and Tires (285s min)
3. Heads up display
4. Supercharger (570 Hp.)
5. Quad Tail pipes.
6. Price 60K.

I have come to the conclusion that the high HP brand new supercharged cars are a rip off. See the mustang it came out advertised at 600+ HP and a sticker of mid 60s. You cant buy one for less then 80k...RIP OFF.

I say buy the 6.1 ltr old version for approximately 30k w/low miles at most....and get it supercharged, headers and meth....approximately 11k....you will be around 650 to the crank. Total cost around 42k.

2005-2010 Chrysler/Dodge 6.1L (SRT8) Hemi Systems | Vortech Superchargers

I had a Vortech supercharger, 1 7/8 long tube kooks headers, meth, boost a pump, 60lb injectors, boosting around 10, AFR at 11.8, tune, feels stock until I punch it... installed in my Vette and I am 706 to the crank...car cost 35k everything installed 11k...
Total cost: 46k...50hp more then a 100k + Zr1 for 50k less!!
