I'm not brand loyal at all and I've owned many brands over the years. I currently own two fords, a dodge, a nissan and a chevy. Since I was in the market for performance, I bought the SS in Sept. 2001 because it was the fastest thing I could afford. Looks are not that important at all to me. I had my eye on the GT500 before the specs and price were released (heavy and expensive), so I didn't get that. I knew the Challenger was gonna be a pig, so it was never in the running, but I like the way it looks (5 or 6 hundred pounds lighter and it would be the winner for me). Now, we have specs on the Camaro and it looks like it will out-perform the others (even though it's too heavy), but at what price. If it is much above 30k, it better have a blower on it for me to consider it.
Looks are subjective. I was referring to every other aspect of the Camaro. The mags all have first drive articles up that test the production V6 Camaro and they're already saying based on that model that it's way ahead of the Challenger and Mustang in every aspect of driving.
Ah I didn't know thats what you where referring to or that mags have got their hands one it yet. I thought so far we just had #s and pictures.

I don't understand how hard it is to get this in people's heads. . . The Mustang and Challenger were designed to have a Retro style. . . GM wanted the Camaro to reflect the new age with cues from the past. . . It is NOT SUPPOSE TO BE A RETRO CAR!
Yes I realized that and I like the car as a blend of cues from Camaro's past yet having a modern look...PROBLEM IS...YOU posted photos of the CONCEPT not the PRODUCTION car...look at your interior shots carefully.
Plus the article is from 2006.
Here's the production model with some mild photoshop changed listed:
-painted rims
-tint
-the stripe package (which is offered from GM)
-best thing to me was they moved the SS badge.
Now this is BADASS.
