C'mon SRT. Come back into the ring swinging.

Just what I was thinking actually. We have a new SRT-4. Although it comes with GM badges and a few less doors, but that's balanced out with a decent warranty.
Hmm, similar numbers to the original SRT-4, but with launch control and boost hold, stock! And it does have slightly higher skidpad numbers... that's really a sweet car, but I'm just not feeling the styling.

hmmm was it me or did it sound like they were not flat floor shifting the car in the 1/4 mile test? If they weren't then the car can go faster. I really wish they would just put this all into the astra.

Yep, GM took a working formula from the NSRT-4 and added a couple of things we all wanted...
I still like my NSRT-4 over anything else under 25,000 but if I had to buy a new car, I'd get this Cobalt before I'd buy the MS3.
Now, Chrysler LLC/Cerebus, in 12 months, the rumors better be true about the next SRT-4, don't fark around on this next one, it's time to do it, you know what platform to pull the next SRT4 from, you know the base model version will give you a viable 35 mpg economy car, which meets some pretty important standards, NOW GET IT DONE!!!

Seems like it could run 13.7ish with that trap speed, maybe 13.8. Edmunds has the worlds worst drivers.
hardcore - I remember they rated 2006 GTO 0-60 MPH as 5.5 seconds......
I'm extremely excited now that the figures are starting to roll in and all of the hype is actually real! There should ALWAYS be an abundance of pocket rockets for around 20 grand!!!!!

Or they test at California drag strips. Or better yet like I've seen some magazines do, they'll run times in the parking areas next to the drag strip or other surfaces using their logging equipment. That and many times for these short reviews and articles the journalist/tester may only have the car a couple days and doesn't get to fully learn how to best launch a car. And some test drivers do suck, but I can tell you Edmunds has some pretty good ones so I'd lean towards placing the blame on testing environment they had available.
