How come srt4 backfire so much? I have stg1, 3in catless dp and catback, when i hit redline the car backfires like crazy and ppl told me they saw little flames come out the exhaust. I know the hooked up turbo cars are known to pop and spit flames, but why do srt's do it so much even when decelerating? Is it because the computer is programmed to make it do it? or is it the cams and timing that makes it backfire...I kno its not really called backfire, its afterfire but i say backfire cuz it shoots out the back....so does any1 kno the answer? im not saying there's anything wrong with it, i acually love the pops, just curious on why and how it does it.
its the stage 1, these cars after-fire alot during deceleration but stage 1 pulses the injectors during deceleration so youre still getting some fuel during that time, thats what all that popping is during deceleration, i personally love it too

yeah, its a nice sound, my friends car used to have a small leak in the o2 housing, and for some reason right around 3200rpm would shoot flames out of the exhaust tips during deceleration, gave the cops in our town something to look at when theyre tailing us...haha
rolling down hill going about 35 in fourth gear is very lovely as well... it pops all the way down the hill... very nice!
but for some reason i thought it had something to do with back pressure or lack there of or some shit like that????
