Guys, went to the local Dodge Stealership to transfer the powertrain warranty on the SRT. They made me wait forever, then ran my Vin and told me that it was a non-transferrable warranty....but wouldnt give me a reason why.
If the warranty was voided by the previous owner, they would be able to tell me that when they checked my Vin right?
If it was a warranty that the previous owner PURCHASED, he can cash it in for any remaining money based on time/mileage. That sounds like what happened.
If it was a factory powertrain warranty that was not purchased, it should transfer.
I'd ask the dealer which one it was, because if it was a non-purchased warranty it should have transferred.

If your referring to the powertrain, that is only transferable to the 2nd owner. If you are the 3rd owner, your unfortunately SOL.
Its just odd, the warranty book that came with the owners manual specifically states it can be transferred for a $150 fee to the 2nd owner. If it was voided for some reason fine, I just dont like hearing that I cant transfer it....and then not get a concrete reason for not being able to do so (from the dealer)
Thanks for checking on that for me, but I'm still confused (and a little irritated)
