Default Ticking from crank pulley???

So I have been having this ticking noise that lasts for about 2min when the car is cold. Anyways it will go away however I can hear a faint tick when Im right by the belt area. Im way more concerned about the 2min of loud ticking but anyhow I took both belts off and of course I can still hear the faint ticking from crankj pulley.

Bolt is tight and it pulley doesnt seem like its wobbling. Anyhow Im trying to get some opinions on what it might be? Or hell, maybe its always been this way and Im just way too anal.

My original problem of the loud squeal I will have to wait several hours to test, so while my belts are off and car is jacked up figured Id see what the crowd had to say.

Thanks!

if might be the crank seal, slightly rubbing. I know when I disassembled my engine I was surprised to see that the seat had wear marks on it. Quite noticeable, but that only other things that ride there are.

1 the oil pump, and it's feed wheel

2 the chain for the balance shafts ride behind that

chances of a bearing are slim? (please say so, lol). Although changing the oil pump is no fun thing to do either... I suppose I could cut the balance chain without tearing apart much.

What about this seal, can it be replaced without teardown? Im only familiar with the other side (rear main seal)

Thanks

you pull the crankshaft pulley, you'll see the seal behind it. I could change that seal in less then a hour.

I do have the nice puller\installer thou!!!

Butter to put on take off.

so pretty much same as doing a timing belt, oh joy!

I suppose my car is in need of one of those in the next 6mo anyhow...
I think I may have found my other problem. Looked at the splash shield. Def some rubbing of my compressor pulley going on there... Im gonna crank in the morning after its nice and cold with no alt or access. belt and no splash shield. If it makes the loud squealing then its time to break out the big fucking hammer and beat the shit out of the car, lol
