Hey im new to this forum and wanted to ask a question and get some input about it. I have a 2005 SRT-4 and wanted to put a stage 2 upgrade on it, but my car is pretty much stock and i dont know what should be done to my car before i make this upgrade? And also the extra wear on the internals of my engine, and what should be done to keep my car runnin in top shape? My friend has a stage 2 he can sell me in his old srt 4 and didnt know if you can use a used upgrade?

You can bolt a used stage 2 on your car. There is no worries as far as the engine is concerned. the engine can handle a ton of power. The clutch might be the weak link if your a track racer. I fried my clutch when I was stage 2 but I was dropping the clutch on slicks. You'll want to upgrade your exhaust to get the full benefit of the stage 2 kit. you'll like stage 2 it's a noticable increase in power over stock.

You may want to get a Stage (S2) with toys... Its more power than a S1 without toys.....
I think you meant a S2 w/o toys? And the only reason you get more power out of it is if you are running high octane gas and hit the High Octane Mode button....
OP - What year is your friends car? You can use his S2 setup, but you will need to have the PCM reprogrammed with your VIN#. Nothing else needed to run S2, but as mentioned above a full exhaust will help.... And an intercooler never hurts either
You will need to send the pcm to flight systems to have it flashed to your vin number otherwise the car won't start. Otherwise, stage 2 is a complete bolt on. Enjoy.

damn you ! lol haha everyone posted at the same time
cai is a waste unless your going big turbo.. or you cant fit the stock airbox cause of a bov.. dont waste your money on one.. if you wait long enough and know alot of people with srt's you will mostlikly end up getting a second hand one for next to nothing.. dont get one under 3" if you plan on moding more.. same goes with an o2 housing.. its a waste.. get a full 3" and worry about the o2 when you get big turbo.. dont waste your money you wont notice gains..
haha and you quoted my post before i edited it.. you ninja!!

QFT! Stock airbox with a K&N drop in filter is more than enough for S2 w/ all the bolt-ons.....
