Stickies do absolutely no good. How many times have you seen people ask for the definition of a trouble code??? No one looks at them. It is a lost cause...

Unfortunately, some good information is going to be lost because of all the schmucks posting which color is faster.
One comment on dyno numbers. Everyone likes to post their peak numbers. But peak numbers, while maybe allowing you to flex your internet muscle, is far less important than the 'area under the curve'. An example (a little facetious, but you'll get the point): if your giant turbo starts spooling at 5000rpm and continues to climb to redline (meaning peak hp and tq are at redline), despite the fact that it might be at 500whp at that point, your car will most likely be slower than a car that spools at 3000rpm but doesn't make quite the amount of peak power.
This leads me to...DO NOT ASK "I have xxx whp what is my 1/4 time and trap"!! Answer: Go run and find out!

Yeah, cause that makes the good information automatically disappear...
What it does is keep the thread bumped so people can view it.

I think you're trying to say that the total curve not the peak of the curve holds a lot of importance. When you say "under the curve" it just doesn't make any sense. BTW I'm happy you don't try and refute the fact that Silver is the fastest
LOL WTF?!?!?! Where are all the flame red owners?! REPRESENT FOOLS!
Heh... well if it matters any, I originally WANTED a silver one really badly but since I went shopping after they had already stopped making them, and silver was actually out of production months ago, I got screwed
Dunno if silver is the fasterest but silver definately = the easiest to keep clean and nice looking.
sti_eric - very good point and yeah most people dont' seem to realize that. The shape of the curve is definately as important as the peak... a nice broad curve is much better than a steep peaky one. This is another reason SRT's are so relatively quick and generally just fun to drive since they make good power from almost any point in their available rpm band.

Damn right...black is beautiful...and fast as hell, lets take a moment and look at other black things that kick ass 1) Darth Vader 2) Mike Tyson 3) Ninjas
Now can you argue with that logic????
Id like to no more about compressor surge (since i get it all the time). I say so what if boost go's back into the turbo whats it gonna do, break off the compressor wheel??
It will slowly destroy the journal bearing. The reverse flow of air causes axial stress on the bearings. You can check your turbo shaft play to see the condition of the bearings. Remember that even a new turbo will have a little bit of shaft play when it is idle as there is no oil flow occupying the surfaces. As the wear becomes worse the shaft play will get so severe that the compressor wheel will come into contact with the housing causing damage to the wheel & housing surfaces.

Hey you sound like you know alot about cars, I have about 360WHP what do you think my 1/4 mile time should be?
