useless "fun" conversations belong in the OT area. If this is a sticky it should contain usefull info.
p.s. My car ran a 12.7 with a mbc when it was stock. And i am far from stock now
oh cool! sounds like a nice lil car then, if what you say is true. I have yet to run mine at the track, but I just got it back from MSPi and it's not exactly stock either...hehehe...but 12's... <- that would be my passenger! and fun can be brought up in any forum any topic because it is just that...FUN! and actually, if you really wanted to get into it, we were just discussing the "myth" that was approached.

i dont plan on ever going to the track again because theres none on Long Island and i dont feel like breaking shit. (twin 15g turbos, 720cc's, FMIC, walboro fuel pump, turbo back ATR 3" exhaust, fully built bottom end) But if this is how this forum goes then fine im just not used to forums having extreamly OT comments in stickies but hey no harm done.

sweet car though, but yea..your right in the extent that by the end of the thread it starts to go a lil overboard and maybe off topic a lil at times, but most of the threads i've ever read, even on IA do this..but i'm glad you understand, at least ur not a complete prick..haha..joshin man!

So let me get this straight, you are running all those mods and you feel the need to have the user name "srt-4 killer"? Wow, that's awesome, my srt4 is bone stock, so I'm going to go join a Ford forum under the name "Fiesta Killer" just to let people know how hard I roll.
I highly doubt you even own the car much less have the mods.

he has one very good point, whether he owns a modded SRT or not... this topic was a good one that basically got ruined by page upon page of "no this color is the fastest". I made a joke about it but some guys just took that WAY too far.
Seriously... where are the suggestions of other myths and misinformation for me to add to make this post more informative?

One question I have: the rear manual windows. I was told by a couple of different dealers that it was because the power assembly for the neon electric windows does not fit into the rear door due to the rear tire well further forward than the engineers had predicted.
But then people on here said no, it was to save money, then other people argued with them and said no, it was to save weight. It doesn't matter to me other than from an informational standpoint, when someone says 'haha manual windows in back' I shake my head, because we never put down the power windows in the back of our dodge ram, why would I do that in my srt4?
Anyways, i'm not looking for people who say "oh, yes, I know it is this way" I'm looking for links to documentation as to why they were done manually. Anyone can just say 'bla bla bla' and not back it up.
who are you to say i dont own that car or the mods. You dont know me. I dont have to prove shit to you. I come on this website for the most part for the OT section and every once in a while i read up on srt's because i dont know the platform all that well. Normally im on 3si

Nope, you don't have to prove shit to me. You can just make excuses about a car you don't have and that works just fine
By the way, fastest time I can find for a stock 91 VR-4 in the quarter, based on publications, is a 13.8. Most publications give a 14.0 to 14.2 second time in the quarter. So you are saying with 'a mbc' you took more than a full second off your quarter mile time, interesting, you must be running the quarter down a steep hill, or maybe off a cliff.
I'll make a stretch here, and say you maybe do have the car, but the twin turbo upgrades and all that other crap, sounds like all talk to me. But then, you don't have to prove shit to me, remember? You say you don't know much about the srt4 platform, that's fine, you also don't know much about srtforums when you try and act as though WE are the laughing stock of other forums. That's clubrsx, get it right.
saying that vr-4's run 14 flat in the 1/4 automatically makes me discount everything you have ever said. A DECENT driver will run mid 13's all day long. A GOOD driver will run low 13's STOCK. do your research before you post. 1st gen vr-4's run 8.7psi while mine was running around 14 with a fully built engine, aluminum y-pipe, and thats it. The previous owner was a professional drag racer who owns a 8 second camaro. Im not saying that I would run a 12.7 but im saying my car is capable of it. Ur a moron.

Fair enough, the verified times in the automotive publications are lying, I guess I'll just believe what you tell me on the internet.
13.8 is based on an average driver at 8.7psi on a first gen. The only difference between a first and a second gen is a rubber stopper in the wastegate selenoid that restricts them. Once removed, they run 12psi just like in second gen models (94-99). according to many magazines, stock srt-4's run low 14's stock, im sure you've heard of many running high 13's stock havent you. http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/ro...3_dodge_srt_4/ times and statistics given by most magazines and site are notorious for giving slightly higher times than what good drivers can/and have achieved.
