I just bought my 04 srt4 with 32,000 miles on it for 13,000 and I thought it was alittle pricey but hey wanted one with low miles and clean title.
That's about right considering the low miles. 32K is only 4K miles per year. No one is going to let one with such low miles go cheap. 32K That's still a baby!

The ones that aren't bringing much money are beat to shit and riced out, a good clean stock one with halfway low mileage won't have a problem bringing over 10 grand.
Unfortunately the vast majority of the srt's for sale are in the first category so they appear to not hold their value. Its the same with DSM's, most of them are cheap, and most are beat to shit. Every once in a while I see one on craigslist in extremely good factory condition for $8000+ and it doesn't take long to sell it (around here at least). When I'm out of college I'll probably be one of the people that drops a stupid amount of money on a clean 2gb eclipse gsx, I have always loved those cars.

Unfortunately the vast majority of the srt's for sale are in the first category so they appear to not hold their value. Out of over 100 SRTs on auto trader for sale right now, only one is priced under $5K, and it seems like at least half of them are priced close to $10k or more. There are even stock ones with close to 100K miles priced around $10K.

I say keep it and repaint it. I am now over 180,000 miles with only routine maintenance. I only have a couple of upgrades. The car runs just as strong as the day I bought it.

What are your upgrades? That was a main reason I looked for a stock neon when I bought mine...so it can last a long time. If I can run a dsp tune with a full 3 inch exhaust I would be happy. So far I have been very happy with the reliability of my car. Thanks for all the discussion AG Free

I think it's a great bang for the buck car. I bought mine for $10k, full bolt on 50 trim car with 46k miles, clean title 1 owner in perfect condition. It can outrun the new 5.0's and most other cars on the road. Not too shabby if you ask me.

If you drive this car into the ground, I would challenge anyone to show a better bargain out there as far as performance goes.
They are easy to fix, parts are cheap and readily available and if you treat them right, they really don't break that often.

I bought my stock 04 off the original owner 2 years ago with under 9k miles on it for about 13k. Well worth the price considering it was hardly ever out of the garage and in mint condition. Car now has a little over 14k on it

Mine is a 05, 62k miles, clean, well maintained, tons of mods. Personally I'm thinking of selling too. I needed a bigger car, and well I bought 2 G8 gt's. And what the previous poster said about the G8 is completely untrue. Like I said, I own 2 of them. No problems as of yet.

I think another problem is that this car mainly appeals to young kids that are broke. So, you have to adjust your price if you want to sell. I'm trying to sell my 04 with 85,000 miles on it for $7,600 (in excellent condition) which is a great deal, and I keep getting these outrageous offers. I'd rather drive my car off a cliff than sell it for 5k.
