Or about to break. Thank god i saved for a turbo kit. I was driving last night and as i got off the freeway i heard a clunk clunk clunk type noise coming from somewhere up front. (Axels? Sway bars? No clue really.) I've heard this sound before. If i'm in park, and i turn all the way to the right and push on the gas i get this same noise. Well the noise happened right when i got off, and i was like oh shit what was that. So i stop at the light, and start to accelerate and it does it again. I was on a slight hill. It seems to be much worse on hills. So i'm driving up a slight hill and the car does it again, but doesnt stop. You know that noise people can do when they snap their tounge? Its like that over and over and over. So now i'm trying to diagnose and heres some good info. I'm traveling up a slight hill, its making the noise in 2nd gear, i shift into 3rd, yes, 4th, yes, 5th, NO. 1st NO. Also if i push in the clutch while its making the noise the noise stops. Is this my transmission!?! So i park the car, Well yada yada i parked at my buddies house and we went inside. Get back out to leave, no noise. This morning, on my way to work. It did it as i pulled out of my house, then nothing the rest of the way.
WTF is going on? Any ideas?
Stock everything man. Its not really just a chatter its knocking. And hard too. My buddy was in the car and said he could feel it under his feet.
I know drivers side sway bar bracket is broken. (like the one that holds it to to frame, not the lca) I know that needs to be fixed right away.. but its been like that for a while now.
check your lca bushings, axles, intermediate shaft. I had that cluncking you are talking about and it turned out to be my driver side axle. It obviously is part of the suspension then if you have a stock trans/and stock clutch.

Thanks for the help pete. I'll jump under there tonight and see whats goin on.
all of your infractions have expired btw. they are permanent infractions now though so be good haha.
LOL. The sig infraction.. well i was just asking for that. I was being a (*&*er. But i have no clue where the first one came from. It just says for bad language!
get that thing up on a rack and take a look at it.. somthing sounds busted in the front end. its hard to tell just by geting a cluncking noise, it could be anything, when you get it up int he air go over everything twice somthing defently wrong.. i wana say its the axle but i dont know it dosent make sence why it would matter what gear and if the clutch is engaged or not..

if you get it up check your wheel bearings as well... they can make a clunk noise if they are going bad...usually you would hear those more in neutral though.
just grab the tire and shake the crap out of it make sure theres no play or wiggle room.
