Hi there, i am having some problems getting in and out of gears. The worst is A) after driving for a while B) the higher the revs are the harder it is to shift C) when the a/c is on. When the car is off it shifts fine, when running completely different story, my biggest problem is 2nd gear. If i shift anywhere above 3,000 rpm's its VERY hard to get in to 2nd. I am on my stock clutch with about 65,000 miles on the car, which is not that high. The only mod i have really is a short shifter which i am pretty sure is installed correctly. The clutch feels fine too. I changed tranny fluids 3 times already and it did nothing. So what is the most likely scenario in my case? I heard a lot of ppl have issues and when they change the tob fork it fixes it. But i dont want to spend so much money if im not even sure that will solve the problem. Any suggestions people? Also, if i adjust out the clutch a little bit do you guys think it will help? and if so for how long?
adjust your crossover cables....also check your motor mounts...i had this issue and my mounts were bad so when i was in high rpms the motor was torqued and it made the cables be out of adjustment.....

I am having the same problem. Shifts fine driving normal and sometimes during hard driving the higher the RPM's the longer I have been driving the harder it gets to shift. I think I am on stock clutch I am not sure as I bought the car already modded and used.

sounds liike well for the most part every srt4 out there including me
exact same problems
it helped a little after i re-routed the brake wire that runs underneath the cluth pedal so it allowed the cluth to have slightly more throw in it aswell as makign sure that wire did not short
but not enough to completly solve the hard shifting issues
I'm having the SAME EXACT problem. I just had my transmission worked on by the dealer. They replaced all of my synchro's and the problem was really noticable when it started getting hot here and I started using the A/C more often. Now that its hitting high 90's to low 100's every day I really notice it on the way home. Starts out fine, once everything gets warmed up, the longer I drive the more difficult it is to shift into gears, any of them. The worst are 1st and reverse. Synchro's were all replaced about 3 weeks ago, I changed out the transmission fluid with Royal Purple SynchroMax and I adjusted the clutch pedal. Nothing made a difference.
Any suggestions? I'm getting desperate here. Sooooo annoying to have to literally fight with my car just to drive it.
I had same issue, changed fluid, got better when cold and no improvement when hot-it was pretty hard to get to 1st so I adjusted the clutch pedal below steering wheel__I guess you have to pull the pedal out completely to the end of that adjustment hole and make sure you are really at the end because my car shifts AWESOME now.I just want to keep driving it now. My shifts have never been good for the last two years I've had it. Hope this helps someone.
Make sure the people that put transmission fluid in your car didn't put an AUTOMATIC transmission fluid in your MANUAL transmission car. there is a difference in flluids and it seems that the higher you rev, the harder it is to shift.
