Can anyone point me in the right direction to find a how-to for shaving door handles and possibly even the keyhole for the trunk? I like the way the clean trunk lid looks and I want to shave the two back door handles. Thanks for any info in advance!
I have never done it, but you will need to cover the holes with sheet metal, weld it in, grind down the welds, bondo it, prime and paint, plus what ever I dont know. So if you believe you can do all of the above plus im sure more, go at it.
Holler at BSBOB (I believe that's his name is on the forums) he's been doing body work for many many years I do believe, but I haven't seen him post in a while.
I had shaved doors on my 00 civic si and i hated them , looked good , but i had the autoloc shaved door kit and it never worked right , i remember when the battery went dead and i had to crawl the the F'N trunk to get in the car , i definetly would suggest it unless you want to get pissed everytime you go to open the damn doors lol
I think the second vid demonstrates my point well.
Also, it just occurred to me that you're going to have to shave 4 door handles - pain in the ass if you ask me...
yea and if you get in an accident when the door wont open then you;re in the same situation. it doesnt take mutch to jam a door shut.
all i have to say, is if you're gonna do it, do it the right way and get some good quality poppers, maybe even a small secondary battery just incase your batt. dies.
