hey guys, just wanted to see if it matters what computer i use for my SCT...should i just sell my stage 1 and use my stock computer with the SCT or does it work better with the STAGE 1 ECU???
with stage 1 you wont have to worry about cat or over boost codes.. as far as wich one is better to tune.. i would say they would be the same, but the stage 1 pcm is technicaly "tuned" already so you will basicly be working with a "better" base map..

okay well if i keep my stage 1 and flash my SCT to it will i still be able to change the redline on it and still be able to have the extra pulse that the ecu sends to the injectors for WOT shifting?

wow, you're a moderator, yet you dont even know what you speak of?
the SCT uses nothing fuel/timing/mapping wise from the stock/staged pcm's.
your best bet is to sell w/e stg'd pcm you have to recoupe your money, and buy the sct and run it on s0 w/ 3bar sensors.
that is how mine is ran. runs flawless.
people really shouldnt give advice if they know nothing they are speaking about..
first of all being a moderator has nothing to do with automotive knowledge.. second of all i have only had minimal expearence with SCT. sorry for not giving the correct answer, i would of known more about SCT if it came out before i sold my car. im still learning some things about it. i thought it ran off the stock map and changed whatever parameters you told it to. i dident know it put a whole new map on. now i know, so sorry for my ignorance..
cant you pull the stock map and tweek it with their software? if so then what i said technicaly isent wrong..
