READ THIS THREAD!!!! Big Brother is watching you!!!!
I know I'm going to get in a ton of trouble for posting this, but I don't want to see my fellow SRT owners end up like me. There's some VERY important information that you all need to know. As we all know, DCX watches SRTforums VERY carefully. Hell, there's DCX employees that post here on a regular basis. Well, I learned this morning that DCX is taking a play right out of their underling Mitsubishi's playbook.
My warranty is now null and void.
It seems as though DCX is watching the forums and voiding the warranty of those who are racing their cars. My service manager received a call this morning from an old Regional Director of his asking about warranty work that has been done to my car. He said that they had information from "a website" that I was racing my car on both the drag strip and the road course and that they were in the process of "restricting" all warranty work done to my vehicle. I've done some searching and found the posts that I could see would piss someone off, but this all started over a freaking Clutch that I actually PAID $720.71 for and was NOT done under warranty work. The thing that is getting me voided is this post: My newest inside joke... . That's the only thing I can see. I posted about my problems receiving the other CV shaft in this post: I have to say, I'm not happy with DCX right now... in which 1st Neon brought the ORIGINAL post to their attention. Thanks dude. I appreciate your help in getting this expediated.
Well, I just thought you guys should know. DO NOT POST ANYTHING ABOUT RACING YOUR CARS OR RECEIVING WARRANRY WORK. IF YOU HAVE, DELETE THOSE POSTS. I'm going to be leaving ALL of my posts up, seeing that it looks like I'm the first victim. I just don't want you guys to end up like me. IF you do go to the track, EVEN TO SPECTATE, cover your VIN with a piece of paper or something. NEVER POST YOUR VIN. That's how they tracked me down. If you have posted it, DELETE it.
There you guys have it. The company that we thought were behind us racing is now trying to screw us. How a company like DaimlerChrysler can have performance divisions like SRT and AMG and NOT expect us to race our cars is beyond me. How a company can void an entire warranty for racing a car (even if NOTHING was broken while racing) is beyond me as well. I'm looking into the legal ramifications of this right now and I'll keep you guys abreast of what's going on in this tread.
same here. damn that sucks!!!!! im glad my car is all stock and all my mods are fake and photochopped on the car. no offence but thats why i refuse to display anything that says mopar on my car
aw man thats terrible, they f'n advertise it as the street legal race car, and then go and pull this crap. damn now i'm never gonna want to post on the web any more.
Make sure you do the same thing to them. If they have it in writing what you have done make sure they put it in writing that your warranty is void and the reasons why. Someone telling you won't hold up nearly as much as if it is on paper esp. with letter head. This should help you because just because you typed something they still have to prove it happened. Oh by the way I went 300 mph on the way home from work last nite. Now if they want to believe that fine but can't be PROVEN. Just like your posts they can't be proven. Also I think the laws are different between something like posting on here and an e-mail. By all means find out what is up. Thanks for the details.
This feels like a slap in the face. I thought of all companies that were gonna stand behind their customers, DiamlerChrystler was gonna be it. If they dare try and void my warranty for any reason such as these, they better refund the extra money I spent on it.
Not to be the dick but what kinda of dumb ass is going to post his real info and VIN number. I may have a disclaimer on my sig but if I posted my real info its quite possible they could use that against me. Its enough proof to show abuse.
I feel sorry for ya man, but next time use ur head.
PS. I posted a pic of my tweeter install and I wiped out the VIN plate just incase.

i wish there was a way to track down these employees on the forums and zap them just like we zap non supporting vendors. i dont take my car for warranty because i know what they will say. i just deal with the problems on my own.

Chubz, I always wipe out my VIN, but it's not hard to look up my NAME in their computer and see what my VIN is. Everyone knows my name on the forums.

See thats true but the only problem for his is in his previous post he put up a work order with a VIN and Name. The only thing he can say is it wasnt him. But all DCX needs to do is trace his SRTforums account to see if the names match. If they do, hes fucked.
You can post anything you want about your car time slips and what not. Just dont be lazy and leave important personal info on the web. Plus have a long ass disclaimer.
And in closing, see how much better street racing is
