Yeah I feel better after the rant- and I am talking about the car. I hear so many different stories about people with these T850's. Either they are teh godderz or teh suxorz. I must have got teh suxorz one lol. A few posts up, I think that evo77 explained it well along with the remaining posts.

It's not a PWERKS rebuilt..I would of but the $$$ is what is killing me. I should have the first time, but now going on two $1500 bills in 6 months and paying for loaners--- I will let you do the math

I did the next best thing IMO, and that is replace as many parts with Billit or Cryo-treated parts.

Once I started dumping $$$ into mine I went out and got a $500 beater to drive everyday

Even better tip then.. GF is about to get another car, which means we will have a third. We were going to trade it in.. but Dunno if I will now. Its a 95 Maxima GLE w/ 174K and runs ok (has bad 02's and MAF). Might just add it on the insurance.. hell, its only another 20 bux a month.

no real bad trans problems had some difficulty getting into reverse already but even if i did have to replace it i'd still probably keep it anyways i've just got too much time into the car...

odd i have 90k, s3 `~300hp and mine has been fine, stock shifter

Why? - that wonderful NVG T-850. Its just a heap of shit. Even my mechanic, after this 2nd rebuild, said "It will break again.. its pathetic design, its junk. They sell you a hot rod and wonder why it blows up!"

This time is a COMPLETE rebuild with all the PWERKS toys I could get in it (Billit selector, 3/4 fork, retaining clip), new 3/4 synchro, new 2nd and 3rd gear, new TOB fork, and new Shifting linkage mechanism that sits atop of the trans... All has been caused by the tiniest crap breaking from the top of the trans and falling into the gears. 1st time was the needle of the shift selector. 2nd time was a tiny pin-tipped sized rod that fell out of the shift gate.


Other wise I have not had any other issues and have learned just how BAD the trans is. No wonder there is a new one in the Caliber SRT4! Yet, dodge oh so faithful will not honor this dildo in the ass trans. As well as no- can't blame my driver skillz, I have only romped it twice- and have not "Speed Shifted". When I romp, I double Clutch. END: Rant.

Just needed to vent-


I am selling the car once it comes out of the shop, and getting a WRX or a 02-03 Maxima 6 speed.

I will never again goto the domestic side.. between my Trans Am WS.6, my old Corvette, and now my Dodge.. eek, I can't even fathom what a Ford would be like!

give your car back into the dealership after returning it back to stock and let them fuck with it. Atleas tyoull have a gurantee for your shit to get fixed without any major issues atleast theyll send someone to fix your shit whos more certified instead of being taken for a ride by the next person who doesnt know what they are doin.

Not to be a smartass either but im begining to question your levels of judgement as to why would you teach your girl to drive stickshift on your car. I would have brougth her a cheap beater car so that way if it breaks down its no serious loss compared to messing up your car.
