RaceDeck SRT4 900hp salt car

I have been hearing about this forum for sometime....I like it
I am the guy who owns the SRT-4 Powered SaltRod. The motor we ran out on the salt put out about 780hp on gas, no NOS, No fuel. We ended up setting 3 world records in the Roadster Class...The most competitive class on land speed racing....We beat the old records by over 60mph. We had several passes at speeds 'averaging' over 200mph...The course is 5 miles long and I am passing the last 3 mile markers as a rate of each marker every 8 seconds.....

PVO has set us up with a new SRT4 that we are currently building for the 2004 season. We are teamed up again with Darrell Cox, Precision Turbo, TurboTune, and HINCKLEY DODGE's Dave Harris and Phil Hurst....We will be running this car in the F ( 2.1 to 3.0 L)/ Blown Gas coupe-sendan class...the current record is set at 202mph....we are looking for an intial speed record of 225mph and if all goes well, we are going to try and move it up from there.
The body in this class is completely stock.... Oh yeah, the motor should be good for over 900hp+++ ...remember, this motor has held up under full boos and load for the full 5 miles, Darrell and Hinckley know there stuff!...both cars will weigh over 3000lbs.

I think there are some threads with photos of what we are doing in this site? is not check it out at RaceDeckRacing.com
I will be updating the site with the new SRT-4 as soon as the cage and chassis is done

Jorgen

This is terrific news. The civic hondata takes to the Flats pales in comparison. Congratulations and best wishes to you in the new season!

Thumbs up

Thanks for the welcome party

I am really excited about the SRT4 salt car, And I hope to take me the title of the worlds fasted 4cyl gas coupe and sedan....
we currently hold the the title of " The worlds Fastes 4cyl street roadster"...we are in HotRod mag this month pag72...
I will keep you posted on the progress of the SRT4....We are really spending a lot of time on the chassis set-up...I want that thing to stay pointed straight and hooked up....it's no fun doing 360's at 200mph plus

Jorgen

Hay you guy's, I am very glad, and honored to have you on this board. And I am sure a lot of the owners feel the same.
I just came from the SEMA show in Nov. I saw your car there, and all I can say is BAD ASS!!
When I read that you guys where going to build an srt-4, to break the 4 cyl record, I was very excited. I have been amazed at how the other 4 cyl guys are getting to the speed that they have been attaining. I am sure that between you and darrell COX, you should have the record in hand when you take the car out. I am looking forward into seeing the build up process. And if you can provide some pics of it. I, and I am sure a lot of the owners will appreceate it. Good luck, and welcome to the board.
