just because someone replaced the windshield doesnt always mean it has been damaed due to a front end collision. i have been very un lucky with my srt-4 windshield, first year a semi truck pulled in front of me atthe lastminute causing a rock hit and chip it. replaced it and then about another year i got out of my car in the garage and saw a line, and was like WTF? replaced it and now luckily havent had any replaces. funny thing is my jeep wrangler window took alot of abuse in its 5 year run and it only needed replaceing once because i broke it with my fist...funny story i was trying to get ice off the wiper and i hit it and cracked.
Well, at least your jeep windshield wasn't expensive, it's one of the cheapest windshields you can buy

Just got off the phone with my old boss at the windshield warehouse I worked at, they've been seeing more of this. His opinion on this:

As long as the windshield has the DOT tag, he should be fine. I can't say if this is a Norstar windshield or if it's made in china without seeing the actual tag, but as long as it has the DOT tag it meets the US NAGS standards, provided the install was done correctly. If his windshield leaks, rain or wind, then he may want to get a new one.
Of course he said if you need a new windshield to take it to his place haha. Anyways, hope that answered your question.
Thanks for all info!!! lol, i guess he wants to sell me a new one
Until now, no leaks and no wind noise. I compared with R/T's one and it looks identical in everything. I appreciate your help RTShadow and thanks for patience to a newbie
Well, they reference PPG, so I'm guessing that has to be a PPG windshield, PPG is one of the top windshield manufacturers out there, easily top 3. You are good to go.
