Smile new here...

Hey ya'll...I just recently bought a 2005 SRT-4. It's jet black and stock. It's got around 31k miles on it. I don't have any pictures taken yet, but will have some up ASAP. I've just got to buy a new cord for my camera
But a little about me. I'm 21 yrs old. I just recently moved to Killeen, TX b/c i'm stationed at FT Hood. If there are any members that live in this area or on base, it would be nice to meet and chat about the cars in general. I look forward to learning more from you guys about this great machine. Also i've got a ? about how to search the forums... lol true noob ?, but I honestly can't find it. I've got a question aswell....my car feels like it's got a shorter throw than any other standard that i've ever driven. So, my question is, is should be rough to get it into gear. I'm really thinking that I need some new tranny fluid...but thanks for the information in advance!! God bless...

it is possible the previous owner put in a short throw shifter, that saves you $100.00 and 1 less thing for you to do..lol. as far as you can tell is that all the mods on the car? the things to check are wga, computer, and injectors. when it comes to searching , just type in what you are looking for in the search box located in the dark strip going across the page and it will bring up all the threads that are related to the topic you are searching..........good luck and welcome

Yeah, I guess you're really right about saving money there! To be honest, as far as I could tell, everything is stock. It's got the stock air box, turbo, waste gate, BOV, and exhaust... I really apprecaite you giving me the tip on where to search! When you say computer...are you meaning the box that you hook a diagnostic reader into? This car is A LOT different than my Acura rsx-s, but i'm WAY happier with this one

Thanks EssArTee4, i'm very happy with her. I've just got to save money on this deployment to get me some parts for her .

The PCM "Computer" is on the drivers side front of the car, under the headlight area. If its not stock it will have you VIN numbers on it, and say "Attention, for use bla bla with cars vin ending in, and your VIN" Otherwise its stock.

thats some good info for him, i'm sure he'll apreciate it, nice upgrade going from an rsx to the srt, its a whole different ballgame now, once you go boost you'll never go back.

essartee4 i really appreciate that info. I've wanted a boosted platform for a WHILE and I came by a good deal that I couldn't pass up. This is going to sound very noobish, but the PCM is the aftermarket tuning system for our car right? Like the rsx had the k-pro.
kmoy2.4beast I really don't plan on getting rid of this car. It's beautiful inside and out.
