Default My Lemon SRT-4.....and what to get next NEED HELP!!

Ok guys, i need to tap into the minds of all you fellow srt-4 owners out there...Im submitting my car as a lemon to DCX later on this week for the infamous leak on the passenger side dash area. Stealership has found the problem and acknowledge the leak, however they have exhausted all efforts to fix the leak in my srt, to no avail. It has been in the shop 4+ times now for the same leak in the last 6 months. When you car is filed as a lemon and the corperation takes action your car can either be bought back, or you can get a replacement.... and well heres the issue. As much as i love my srt im frankly scared to get into another one, as i do not wish to be hosed and stuck in similar/same situation i am in now as lot of srt's seem to have this same leak/problem. On the other hand if i have them buy back my car (its consumers choice in CA for them to either replace it or buy it back) then im back to square 1 looking for a solid performer/weekend racer.....i am married, have 2 kids, i need help as to what vehicle i could possibly get in the same price range as the srt that performes similarly. its hard to find as ive researched this and believe it when someone tells you that this little hot rod is the best bang for the buck. Also note i dont mind buying used. thanks for everything in advance, Dan

Closest thing I'd go with is the WRX. STi would be nice, but a regular Rex isn't that much slower than a stock SRT, has great aftermarket support, and is a great family car.

imho...your not gonna find a better vehicle than the srt-4 for what you want. unless you look at the cobalt or the ion r/l. which are about in the same price range, but do not handle as well as the srt-4

The new WRX is only a half second slower in the 1/4 mile then the STi since the 2.5 liter engine was added

I never heard of leak issues with the srt besides yours.

Get an acura rsx if you want a nice qualtily vehicle with great handling. Wont ahve the power as the srt but you will be very happy with its qualty.

Just get a new SRT4. Every car has lemons, you just got unlucky on this one. I bet your next SRT4 will have no problems.

What kind of leak are you talking about? I noticed one day after a hard rain some water coming out from under my passenger side dash.

Im currently experiencing the same situation with my 05 red srt4....

Im currently trying to do the lemon law thing but they are being retarted right now... my car has been at the shop 6 times and it has been more than 30 days. I already have the right to say i dont want the car and for them to replace it, but they just keep denying it...

as to the leak it refers to a water leak which happens to come in from behind the glove compartment area during heavy rain...

in my case after it rains alot and i get inside the car, as soon as i hit the gas i hear water somewhere in the front of the car which is splashing than it continues to leak inside...

I have a lawyer working in my case and i already met the district manager of chrysler for my area( which is another retard cause he denied my lemon law claim without even looking at the papers )

but i want another srt4 i dont care ill run the chance of having the same problem.. if i do than ill just take it to the same shop and tell em the same thing is happening with this one... and than ill consider ggetting anoda car... other than that im sticking with the srt..
