Default Most COMMON thing to break on SRT4?

I am looking into buying an SRT4, for a daily driver. How expensive are they to maintain and keep on the road correctly? I am sure you have all seen my posts lately, I am just really taking into consideration all the cars I can get for the money. :p

The transmission. But if people would shift slower and not hammer it into gear and realize the original design was intended to lug around a heavy turbo-diesel van it would happen alot less.

^this. But with booger bushings or rage-tech on a goodtranny will help. But it depends on the mileage.

Some of the most common things to break are ,

Clutch pedal pivot clip , lower control arm vertical bushings , and any warranty promises .

All of those are easy to deal with . Its things like bent shift selector , syncros , throw out bearing fork , fried clutch that cost a wedge to fix . Maintenance is suprisingly economical for a turbo car .

All that said , I personally would not consider buying a used srt4 unless it was an absolute steal of a deal , and I was ready to deal with hidden issues . But I feel the same way about EVOs , S2000s , WRXs , cobalt SS . These cars were built to be used hard , and they are almost never sold when they are in good running order .

Which is why I am looking into maybe a VW as well, lol. I have had a hard time deciding between a few cars. Really want an SRT but I know getting one with no surprises isn't easy.

Might not be easy, but it would be worth it to me. There are alot more of them out there than most people think, problem is the people who keep it stock don't want to sell because they hardly ever have problems, but they are out there.

Oh and SRT > VW so hard

Well, I got a buddy with some beastly VW. But I found a few good sstock ones, or appear to be, and I plan one of those.
