While I have long considered doing that and doing it properly, I have something else in mind. Imagine...

full 3", cat replaceable with test pipe via 3-bolt flanges for track days, y-pipe at the back that connects to a straight out the back exhaust (with an e-cutout to activate) and to a single exit muffler. So (looking at the back of the car) i'd have muffled exhaust coming out the right side exhaust port, and when I choose to I'd have unrestricted exhaust coming out the left side exhaust port. That way I can have a nice quiet road manners car when i'm cruising, and a hell fire and damnation noise beast when I feel like stomping on it. I'd use a 3-position switch for the cutout as well: closed, WOT controlled, open.

"I'm betting that when the USS GG is commissioned, it will be notably slower than the rest of the fleet, list slightly to one side, and tend to turn gently to port while attempting to sail on a direct heading."
I'm SO going to hell for how hard I laughed at that.

^ If you're going to pay $$, go single 4" all the way!! If it's stock turbo, stock with e-cut out is best. It gets expensive when you do all that what you want. Plus the weight and restrictions to go out the back.

Hard to go fast, and be street legal.
I gave up, and took it off the street.

That's too much headache. Pick one or the other. E-cutout is fucking annoying. I run catless (for offroad use only right) with a 18'' resonator. Kinda loud. Pops sometimes. I'd show you a vid but you'd throw up if you saw my car.

Big wheel stage 3. fresh motor. 151k on body. Will be repainting soon pop my hood red.

Push button close it's stock exhaust quiet.
Push button open it's race ready loud.
What's annoying about that?

I have used it at Sacramento, Infineon. Sac doesn't matter at all, Infineon I just closed it for water box, then opened it up in staging.
And Laguna Seca no problems opened up, it passes sound decibel because it's under car.
And my car sounds awesome opened up!! Just ask around..
For a street/race setup I think it's the best.
