Default Install guide for stage 2 wga?

I did a search for "Stage 2 wastegate" but I didn't find anything on installing it. Probably because everyone calls it "stg 2 wga" and I can't search that.

Anyway, I'm getting the stg 2 wga this week and I was just wondering if there in a step by step install guide on this site somewhere? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I read the entire thing and if I understand it correctly, this is what I got: If I install this on my completely stock car then it will automatically adjust the boost? I don't have to do anything else other than install it properly, right? To me it sounds like I just install it and the PCM figures out everything from there (after "breaking in" the new wga).

I think I will wait a little longer (even after I get the wga in the mail) before installing it so I understand it better. Like I said, my car is completely stock and I don't want to mess anything up. I was just looking for a couple more pounds of boost with the wga and it seems that this stg2 wga does just that, but I have a feeling I'm not understanding it completely.

Wow, I've been reading the responses in the thread and it seems like a lot of people are having problems with the wga. I think I might pass on this one, I don't want to f*ck anything up. Oh well, it was only $55.

I think I might go with something safe like a 3" exhaust or something instead.

What? I have it on my car I had problems with it and posted in that thread. But the problems are gone. The key is to have patience. Took my car around 150 miles to learn it. (As in, not spiking 20 plus anymore) PTB is almost non-existant. I have it at 0 preload. Its a great WGA, its just the fact no one has patience with it.

What are you spiking/holding at now? I just don't want to mess anything up.

I installed it, drove it for 200 miles. Little preload. PCM never learned. All cars are different.

PS. Just try it out for a week and be very careful. If you don't like it, put the stocker back on.

Yeah I think I will do that. By be careful you mean I shouldn't go WOT and drive it hard? If the PCM gets used to it, then that means I will be spiking around 15/16 and dropping to around 12/13 redline, right?

EDIT: If the PCM gets used to it and I keep it on, can/will it cause any problems down the road? As long as I keep the boost spiking under 17psi it should be safe to keep it on for good right?

By being careful when you see it spike 20 psi let off the throttle. If and when the PCM gets use to this, then you are golden. 17/15 psi on stock fuel system is fine. Just remember every time you reset the pcm (removing the neg term) you will have to do this break in period.

What he said. Make sure there is zero preload when installing. Every car is different, but zero preload ended up being around 8 threads showing on mine.

Ditto. When I had stage 1 and installed the S2 wga my pcm never learned, either. I had to find the right adjustment to spike 17-18.
