How many have been pulled over for exaust?

Ive had:
Stock
Stock no resonators
Catless downpipe into stock cat back with no resonators
Open downpipe
Catless side exit with a resonator
Catless side exit no resonator/muffler
catless full 3 inch with a muffler

Never been pulled over for just the sound of my exhaust lol

Maxxfab dp w/high flow cat and Borla catback, have been cited several times, state police only, local cops could care less. Now when I see state police I just throw it in neutral, problem solved. I've had a trooper follow me attempting to pull me over but fortunately I was going down a slight grade so I just kept the car in neutral and he gave up.

I got asked by a state trooper just the other day at the gas station why my car was so loud (I'm running 3" o2 / 3" open DP). I just told him that my car doesn't come with a muffler from the factory and he told me that it doesn't matter because the law states that here in Indiana you must have a muffler. I just got in my car and left.

I'm going to go ahead and call bullshit, if it comes from the factory without a muffler and sold that way then it must be ok.

The laws in 2003 were a little different back then.

The D.O.T in 2002/2003 said that the turbo is considered a muffler so technically the car didnt need an actual muffler. The neon was on the ragged edge of just passing the federal DB exhaust level with the stock exhaust.

Now though, things have changed

^ yea i got pulled over last year here in VA for my exhaust and actually got a ticket. I went to court with a diagram from dodge of the exhaust system and a print out of the section in the D.O.T that states the turbo acts as the muffler. It got dismissed and I now keep those two forms in my car just in case

I got pulled over last month for loud exhaust and tinted tailights, he thought it was modified and I kept telling him its stock. Told him to get down and take a look for himself, he didn't want to instead he wanted to argue with me about how his civic si is a sport edition and its quite lol I don't care. He ended up just giving me warnings for both. I'm in wisconsin btw
