How many have been pulled over for exaust? - SRT Forums

OK I have now been pulled over 3 times because the cops say my exaust is NOT stock. I have yet to get a ticket, but I know sooner or later I will run into one idiot who will give one. Anyone else running into this problem?

Heh, a guy here in Cali got his car impounded for a "illegal turbo and exhaust" :evil:

I just carry a magazine around that has a few blurbs on it being stock and right at the threshhold of legal.

Mines pretty mellow compared to my jeep with flowmasters or some of the rice rockets around here. Not to mention the Asswhore docotor, pseudo Harley riders that take thier gawd damn bikes into work at 4 am and then drive them home at 12:30 am.

lol i couldnt argue.. cuz i wuz doin 10 above the speed limit lol so i kinda just took it easy tellin him it was a stock exhaust lol.. hes like ok i believe u but slow down i kno u hav a fast car lol..

LOL. I cant believe you guys run into that i guess they are pretty strick in Cali. No problem here in TX the trucks are worse than my car. Furthermore, im planning on running a 3" system that dumps midway on the car. I dont expect any problem from johnny-law. Most are too lazy to actually get on the ground and look under my lowered car.

the cops in cali r crazy assholes. but the one let me off for running a red light, speeding 20 above the limit, and pulling an illegal u-turn...ill i have to wait to pass judgment.

Cops in MA have nothing better to do than harrass drivers. Low crime (thankfully)! 8)

Whenever I see a cop I push in the clutch pedal and don't blow off the RFL in an effort to avoid getting pulled over. It still might happen cuz it happens ALOT in MA, but I am trying to avoid it.

normally i dont drive like that...i was following my girlfriends friends mother somewhere...n she didnt get caught doing those things. i did. but maybe it was because i said sir every other word. i wouldve kissed his feet...but i was afraid to move. i was also afraid to get going after he let me go because of the exhaust noise. almost stalled trying to keep it quiet.

my roommate got pulled over in mine when i first got it. the cop says we were speeding and didnt stop at a stop sign. first off.. we sat at the stop for like 4 seconds cause his brother was in the next car over, and we were talking to him. and theres no way he was speeding, i told him not to get on it cause it only had 25 miles on it at the time. so i figure that the cop must have heard the exhaust.

i'd love to see a cop gimme a ticket for too loud an exhaust!! cops here are assholes with nothign else to do. i've even been pulled over for no turn signal. then just the other day, i saw the same cop do it in his cop car. phucker!

I have never heard of anyone getting hassled here in TX...My truck has a 40 series flowmaster that sets off some car alarms...and everyone I know has the same kind of setup...cops must not care here
