62k body, engine, and trans... are great, but the dash just cracked right where the vent is crappy dodge interior!!! I'm gonna keep it forever, but I'm not sure what my next daily will be. TDI jetta or TDI golf maybe and actually experience good mpg. Hybrids are for the gays and why can't we get the TDI rio's or focus they get like 80mpg HWY Ford Focus diesel rated at 80 mpg--in the U.K. - Autoweek

My wife just got a new Jetta TDI for xmas. She got about 2.5 times the range to fill up on just the 1st tank of diesel. If the Premium didn't come with a sunroof we'd have one of those.

126000 miles, only owned it for 10000 (I've only had her 6 months). Its running great though I've had to replace half the sensors on her. A question- I'm a noob here, how do you tell when a new turbo is needed? Im getting 8 lbs out of her and sometimes 13 or 14 but I think its just a boost leak... no odd noises or anything that concerns me at the moment.

What are possible repurcussions for not replacing my timing belt soon?

Timing belt- if that breaks it will throw your timing off. And serious mess your motor up.. Replace it water pump cam seals tensioner etc there is a kit on modern.. It's not something you should "try" doing. Get someone you trust and that has done many before.. I'm gettin mine changed tmrw.. With the gates blue timing belt.

I already knew that but even though its not nearly as dangerous as an interference motor is there any reason I should do it asap or does it matter if I wait another 10000 or 20000 miles?

when i bought car w 107k i said i would change timing belt by 120k, but 3 yrs went by and finally got it
done recently at 155k. i did notice i had recently lost 1-2 mpg and it returned after getting timing kit installed as well as ran a little stronger.
i heard someone went 190k on orig timing belt. also heard plenty of other peoples break close and b4 the 100k mark.

just turned over 140K miles, 8k of it on a BW s255 kit stock motor runs great hasn't let me down (yet). also part of the club saying im going to do timing belt soon i've had bad experience with them in the past whether the water pump went or Tbelt broke so probably a good idea if i do it soon.
