its recommended to use a relay so it doesnt fry your wiring harness
i had them installed on mine for like 2-3 weeks without the relay with no issues, but your suppose to run the relay like stated above so you dont melt the stock wires.
yeah i understand the concept of the relay kit, but not haveing one would this cause the bulbs not to come on, i have to like cycle the lights on and off to get them both to come on then after like 5mins. with them on one just goes out then i have to cycle the lights again to get it to come back on?

make sure all your connections are connected and secured...ive been told the ballast connections need to be upwards but not sure if its true...i had mine sideways and they worked...but just double check connections...
i had this problem where one wouldnt come on....it was always my passenger one....it was getting worse and worse until the ballast finally went out....so i just got another one on ebay.....
