Wow really weird, same problem. I always wait for it to get around 200 but i noticed it when my MSD coil took a shit. Iwas getting multi misfire, BADLY, Got home put the stocker on and no more misfire, but the car was completly warmed up, but the stock coil was not warmed up cause i just swapped them out, THATS when i first heard the whistle. And took 2-3 hard 3rd gear pulls before it shut up and actaully seemed to pull harder and harder on each pull. SO could this be a electric thing? Coil pack related? NEVER heard this with the msd coil? So how many of you run the msd and hear it, and how many of you are on stock coil and hear it?

Hmm, thats a new one if its the coil... I have never used the MSD, but everyone seems to think its crap. They say to stick with the stocker. I would bet 90% of people with the teapot mod going have stock coils. Mine doesn't do it anymore. Just stopped on its own. Maybe whatever boost leak it is got worse!
just noticed my car had the teapot sound about 30 mins before i saw this thread. i have a feeling it's the lowerside hardpipes though becaue i just changed the intercooler/lowersidepipes and the sound is definitely coming from the passenger side of the engine. its' real brief though only when i'm going through a certain rpm band in any gear. weird thing though is boost isn't really affected so i'm confused. i'll tighten up those couplers and see if that solves the "problem"
Im almost 100% postive its not a boost leak, And i dont think we all have the same nose. Mines more center of the firewall, not really favoring left or right. And its weird how it started as soon as i changed coils.

im telling you guys, check your intake manifold gasket. i had that shit and finally took it to the shop and show nuff, intake manifold gasket. itll really make your car run shitty too. especially at idle. trust me here. ignore posts about vrake boosters and all that bs. your hotside pipe connectors are another possibility i suppose if your are not smart enough to bolt on an IC. i mean its really not that hard
I went out today just to check the bolts, and they were LOOSE! like a half a turn. SOO not sure if it will help ust tighting them, but i did. Might need a new gasket. But ill let you know if i hear it at all.
but wouldnt a intake manifold gasket show up in a boost leak test/.. did mine at 24psi and i have no leak and im running 12 psi right now and i hear the sound

you would think so but mine didn't the gaskets just go bad. Like I drove to the store and came out like 30 min later and had the teapot sound. After a month of the whistle, and like 8 boost tests, I took it to performance autos and the ripped it apart and found that mufugger. Never once showed boost leak symptoms
Well was losse and tighted it, but still makin the noise. So shes getting ripped off next week for paint, and a new gasket.
well im pretty sure its your prob but def keep me updated. i would almost bet its that gasket. since your mani was loose it could of rubbed a notch or whatever you want to call it in the gasket. i guess we will know fursure when you get that bitch off. i mean, you could do it yourself its not that hard but if youer haveing work done soon, might as well save your self the time and check it out then. later
