run a boost leak test. Does it sound like a super charger?
When I'm accelerating normal I can hear a faint whine like a supercharger (when I have the radio off and windows rolled up I can hear it). Is this normal?
I've got it too. I removed stock surge valve/rice plate (replaced with HKS BOV), got a boost leak test done, switched out my stock air box for K&N CAI, and then back again, sound is still there, sort of like a tea pot whistle at WOT. It doesn't seem to affect performance so I just ignore it. It started doing it out of the blue about 8 months ago.
mine does this to i think it sounds sexy with the exhaust going first then the turbo spool then the teapot whistle then the WHAAAPPSSSSSSSSS.......SEXY!!!
yes, that's what it sound it (tea pot)
does nobody really know what it is? boost leak check coming soon, i think that it but it drive fine so i might just leave it that way
R u guys running stock turbo because i got a 50 trim and it makes the tea pot sound. Not immediatly but it takes a second or two for it to start. I actually took a video of it and im trying to get it on here so maybe someone could tell me what it is. Im actually gonna check for boost leaks on sunday.
