Default Few questions

Just bought the car so i changed the oil for the first time. First question is is the oil drain plug suppose to have a washer on it? It didn't. It looked like it had some reminence of silicone sealant. I put it back w/o a washer or sealant. There was a little bit of oil around the plug before i removed it to drain the oil.

Second, when i got home the boost gauge looked like this

i read some where on the forums its suppose to be ON 0 and if it wasn't its broken? is this correct? if so i guess my gauge is broken?

The oil plug doesnt have a washer.......On your stock boost guage. Is it reading 1psi with the car off??? Either way, its broke...People say dont worry about it. I say replace it...Whay do you ask......Because you'll never get a accurate reading when: driving, racing, too much boost or too less boost, boost leaks, boost leak checks, adding mods and tuning....If you wanna roll like it, its your choice...

if you're still under warranty then take it to the dealer to have the gauge replaced or you can upgrade to a different one

at 63k? nope you don't.......you can check the for sale forums........a stock one usually goes for sale around $25 unless you wanna upgrade to a 30/30 gauge
