Embarrassing moments in your SRT-4

I was driving home from my mechanics shop after not being able to drive my car due to needing new wheel bearings and brake calipers needed to be put on and adjusted (new wilwoods). I get so happy to finally be able to hit boost so im driving and i see a charger weaving in and out of traffic and first thought was oh f**k popo. Then he gets a little closer behind me an its and srt8 and i was dying to race after about 3 weeks of not driving. I go to move up a little bit to see if he wants it. Hit boost a little bit and my lower pressure pipe pops off. FML. i would of won too :'(

Throwing a rod with the smoking mayhem that followed while in the middle of an SRT convoy (30+ cars) on our way to the restaurant was definitely the most embarrassing moment in my SRT.

One day after a few months of having my srt4, I was working on the car and had replaced some vaccumm lines and installed a wideband gauge and tinkered with the wastegate. Well I decided to take the car for a spin up the road and back. Hoped in , drove the car around and it was running great ...until ... Smoke started pouring from under the hood . I limp it a quarter mile to my house and pop the hood to find a fire full on blazing ontop of the turbo mani .... My stupid self realized I put an oil soaked rag I had laying around there to protect my arm and totally spaced when checking for tools before I left. Keep in mind I had no hose nearby and had to run into the house 4x's before the thing finally went out. Lucky the only victim was a spark plug wire and a zip tie ... Oh and my heat shield fried hahaha never again_

Racing a Fox body Mustang on Interstate 5 about 3 weeks agoe beat him by about 1 car links only too get pulled over by a sheriff who shook my hand and congratulated me on wining before giving me a speeding ticket lol serves me right gotta pay those lawyers some how.

Everytime the 3rd gear synchro misses and throws it out of gear. It has me looking like some fool who cant drive a manual. It's random and very unpredictable. LMAO.

+1 That's happening to me a lot lately, I'll be in bogging traffic going down to 4th then 1st back to 5th trying to get in 3rd

This. It finally started happening to me after all these years. Ive had it kick out in the middle of a hard turn and it just throw's the balance of the car off completely. So far rev matching on the downshift AND giving it gas once in gear seems to make it hold, instead of just rev matching the downshift..

I had this 3rd shift problem while racing a 350z who was trying to punk me infront of my girl.. So we went off the light clearly Noticeable that i was leaving him behind but when my 3rd just grind and i looked like a fool lol.. She was laughing stating my car wasnt fast enough, i almost punched her and leave her walking hahaha

When I first got the car I raced my friends 02 mustang gt flow masters with x pipe CAI.first run I killed him by 2 lengths second race I blow of my intercooler house and lose all boost lost by 1/2 a length with a hot girl in the passenger seat....fail

ha. atleast you can fix that with a 10 mil socket. He's stuck with the mustang

Uhhh the other day I was at a stop light next to a silver SRT and I had my music all up and shit. I looked over like hey what's up man, and green light -- stalled. Haha. The worst. WORST.

My throttle has been acting screwy for a few days since I've been stop and going in some really heavy traffic every day. Part of me fears for my ACT HDG6 too but, I've had this issue before and it always seems to be very temporary. If I let it rest a day or two it usually comes back nice and strong. No clue what that could be.

Well he was till he totaled it put it right where it belongs in a junk yard..

When the original shift knob was on, I took it for a ride with a buddy. When I got on it, I glanced down to shift and the knob came off and I almost hit myself in the face. Next day I went online and bought the MPx screw on knob.
