I think we can all reflect on the entire Neon platform, since it's the PL and PL2K chassis that will be retired this year. Hats off to those in Belvidere, IL for putting as much blood, sweat and love into the platform. They did a tremendous job.
Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth Neon
1994.5 to 2005 (Plymouth 2001)
After this year it will make our cars even more rare.
Im very glad i bought this car and even if wrx sti's, evo's, and any other car might beat me, I am happy with my purchase.
GREAT writeup!
Kudos to you for putting that together.
I've always been a HUGE fan of the FWD Dodge Turbo scene. I started with an 85 Omni GLH Turbo that was eventually S60'd and continued from there. The FWD Dodges were always GREAT contenders in and out of their price range for the turbo models.
I traded in my 93 Daytona IROC on my 04 SRT. I love this car and everything it feels like and runs like. It reminds me so much of the fury that Carroll Shelby breathed into the Dodge lineup. I remember feeling so sad and dejected when they discontinued the Daytona and the Avenger took its place. It was the end of an era. Nothing excited me by Dodge until the SRT-4s.
GREAT cars and I hope to drive mine for a VERY long time.

We're like the Roadrunner and GTX guys of the 60's. Tons of decent Sattelites and Belvederes out there but that just wasn't enough
I was excited about the SRT from concept to production. I bought an 03 - my sister wrecked it after six months and instead of giving up I bought an 04. No regrets here - I'm only a Stage 2 and S3 coilovers guy (stock everything else) but the car never ceases to please. I definately have no plans to sell.
My goal is to finish my Charger and Challenger during the next year and drive them more to keep the miles low on the SRT and then eventually retire it to my fledgeling stable of pleasure driving collector cars. I'd love to replace the SRT-4 with a 69 GTO for daily driving duties - heck they get about the same mileage
