I just bought my 04 recently. Someone said i have an 03 fuel rail when they looked at it when i was installing my exhaust. this kind of concerned me and i was just concerned if i have stage 1 injectors and the lsd too. how can i confirm of these two things and other 04 changes?

no 04 came from the factory without the lsd and injectors. early 04s had some parts left from 03 cars, but they are inconsequential when it comes to the performance of the car.

I'd like to know something: Where did someone get the information about the earliest model 03's having an extra power boost from the factory? I haven't read that or seen that anywhere and it sounds quite fishy to me. I'd like to see some actual Dodge documentation of that.

Please note the word supposedly. I'd love to see any type of documentation as well but without it's just conjecture. But remember that alot of the neat information we have here on SRTForums are from OG'ers in direct contact with the SRT team from concept into production AND we've seen SRT pull some whacky stuff before (that wasn't really known to DCX coporate no less) so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Trust me, I take it with a grain of salt but on the flip side BlackBird isn't known for spewing bullshit either.

Well, a lot of the old timers absolutely refuse to believe any way shape or form that the 2004/5 have any more horsepower than the 2003's, and some seem to really embelish the 2003's for no other reason than that's what they drive. I'm not saying he's doing that, but I could see someone making that up pretty easily *shrugs* oh well

I could also see the SRT team releasing the first few hundred cars with a "hot" setup. Knowing full well that all the magazines will be testing these for reports on the new Dodge for under 20K. Not saying that it happened, just a thought.

I'm not hyping up the 03 cause I drive one..which I do...but, there have been MANY instances where all three model years dyno'd the same in stock form. That leads me to believe that the bigger injectors were only introduced to lead people to the dealerships....

Production variation and you can't really accurately compare chassis dyno numbers. With bone stock cars on the same, very consistent dyno during local dyno days where 30+ cars have gone through I've noticed a small but significant difference in the power curve from the '03 to the '04+ (which have a different engine controller that has a different calibration). Data logging will also show the '04+ also run slightly more boost.

i could swear the radiators are different from the 03s compared to the 04/05s... i will take pictures when i get the chance, but the 03s radiator looks so different...

EDIT: PICS

2003 Model year

2004 Model year

See the radiators are significantly different in look, and my mothers car stays so much colder than mine when on the stock tstat.

any info on that?

I seriously doubt that the radiators changed at anytime during the production of the srt.

A guy I know was on the design team for the radiators that were produced for our cars. The company was Denso out of Battle Creek, MI.

He told me he got to see the motors in our cars at WOT isolated by themselves pushing 500hp. The just kept it at WOT with no load on the motor to see how long it would last.

He said several srt engineers were there with big shit grins on their faces.

03 has verticle fins vs. 04 with horizontal fins.
