i agree with everyone that says go with the bmw. my sisters boyfriend just picked one up and although it is a very nice car. to me for the price it still has a cheap interior, felt as fast as my stock srt-4, and we went on a hour road trip for easter and those seats are hell. they should have put more padding in them (im not fat, only 165lbs), but its good to have lots of choices and competition out there. i may be getting old j/k lol but my next car it gonna be fast and smooth. (BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes) unless an American car company makes something i like in the near future.

Listen to all these folks hatin'. He got rid of a toy to buy a new toy. Also, straign line numbers isn't everything when it comes to buying a performance car. That Evo will handle better out of the box than at least 95% of the cars owned by people here on the forum, not to mention the fact that it will do it effortlessly. I'd do the same if I wanted a new car right now.

The cost of maintenance for a brand new Bimmer is insane! The 135 is barely smaller than the 335, and the weight advantage is also negligible. Plus, with a Bimmer you get a bunch of creature comfort crap (that just adds weight) that any real enthusiast would scoff at.

Dude, congrats on your upgrade (and that's what it is, in pretty much every aspect). Don't let folks get you down because you didn't buy the car they would if they could afford it. People hate because they're jealous.

Oh, and + like 10,541,385 on pics.

lol its funny how people are saying get a bmw after you already bought the evo. I think the new ones actually look pretty cool...Its got a more modernized look compared to the previous evos. The only thing I dont like about it is the price..its a little high for what your getting...other than that its a fine automobile.

Those cars are by no means slow...With just a tune there a 12sec car. Kid needs to learn to drive.

Why all the hate on the guys car choice?

An a big ol for anyone stupid enough to count the EVOX out this early in the game.

Nice choice on the X, I am sure you will enjoy the hell out of it. I am also sure that after a little while there will be everything and then some, available for this car.

yea i wasnt hating on the car in my earlier post just for the price you could have enjoyed both worlds of performance and luxury. both that car will be a hell of a lot of fun in the snow or dirt ill give it that much.

to the guy that said 335i is slow.... yea.... i will leave it at this, i saw my friend do 13.3 run with just a boost controller.... so your stock car with just a cai and bov won that due to a shitty driver. also post up pics already!!!! i see my sisters red one everyday but i keep telling him Blue is the shit!!!!

*waits for pics* The Evo X is a beast of a car for the track and the looks are awesome. I'm personally leaning towards the BMW/STi though, since they are more practical as a daily driver and the performance difference on the street is very minimal. It's too bad that all these badass cars are coming out when the economy is so bad right now and gas prices will be hitting $4 a gallon.

Yeah but for example a Dinan Reflash for the 335i is $2000, thats kinda hefty.

German luxury vehicles are usually not cheap to mod so that plays a factor into it. Also replacement costs for failures is high.

The BMW's (1&3's) are very clean and have good peformance, but they are in a different league. It's just not the same as picking up something like an EVO and modding it.

Buddy of mine had a 330i for a while, right up until he needed a $300+ front brake job and was close in the rears. Ditched the car after learning some other maintenance costs. Luxo's are ridiculous when it comes to maintenance (excluding Lexus and Acura a little because they mostly use Toyota and Honda parts) and parts and service for a lot of the newer ones can only be done at a dealer. Wanna play with the big boys you gotta pay with them too.

understatement

at any rate, my 335i gets 30+ mpg on the highway and 22 city, even when i drive it hard.

my srt4 gets nowhere near that. ever. not even when it was stock.

25mpg isn't too bad. I consistently get that in my SRT, though it's pretty much all highway miles.
