and it came with 2 o2 bungs (sweet! no asking for sombody to weld on another for wideband) and it also came with an EGT sensor. I was thinking, since its there, I might as well use it, right? Plus there's a wire running off of it. If i were to take it out, thats another hole to plug. Plus it might be a good thing to have later on down the road. It is an autometer sensor with a red and yellow wire insulated from each other and then insulated against heat.
What gauges do people use most often?
Am I stuck with autometer? Is this all I would have to hook up to make the gauge work?
A positive and ground and the red and yellow wire coming off the sensor? Should I buy another brand (if compatible)?
and finally... If i'm buying just a gauge, what price range should I stay under? I can get an autometer carbon fiber one online for 100 shipped. Why are they cheaper than the normal white faced? lol.
If it's an autometer, go ahead and buy a compatable autometer gauge if you can find one without the thermocoupler. The carbon fiber one you refer has a decent price. Most of the one's that are more money come with the thermocoupler.
why is there an EGT sensor in the cat? SHouldnt it be in the manifold?

Yeah my brother said wtf to that too. How inaccurate would it be since its not as close to the engine manifold? Well, its still going to be accurate just not the correct temperature. Maybe 50 degrees colder? Or is it so far away that it isn't worth putting in?
